Commotion leaves Kings reeling even more

Yes, but he is still better than Peja, and holds more trade value than Peja. Take him and trade him as he wishes.
I think you are overestimating his trade value TSI. Clippers were willing to deal Maggette because they have all those other pieces in place. You could package him with one of our overpaid scrubs but with his unpredictability factor I don't think a lot of teams will offer up anything of substance. Plus with the low amount of money he makes there isn't a lot of players that are of equal talent you could get straight up. No, I think most NBA teams will want to wait and see how Ron handles this situation first...god help us.

Lakers want him bad. If Indiana had not asked for more than Odom (Odom + pick, filler, etc), I think they could have had him. Odom would fit nicely in our offense. If Artest doesn't work, you trade him.

Seems like only Kings fans are opposed to this trade. Go check the Laker boards, they are all scared of us getting Artest. They do not want to face the Kings with Artest/Bonzi.

We will definitely add flames to that battle for the 7 & 8 seed, but the Kings will be nowhere as long as they keep the current front line in tact.

the cool trade will come next.

The Lakers suck and are mediocre at best anyway, why the hell should we care what they think? They think Game 6 was called fairly! They think Kobe Bryant is a good guy! Screw the Lakers and what they think. Odom may be even softer and less full of fire than Peja, in fact I will go ahead and say it... he is. After watching Odom and his uninspired weak *** play this year I'd rather have Peja.

Uh....?

Fact is if Ron jsut gets his *** on court, Ron/Bonzi could be a nasty (in more ways than one) 2/3 combo with all the fire and toughness of champions. Unfortunately with none of the self-control. In any case, our frontcourt issues are serious, but opposing swingmen are going to be in for an utter war every time out.

I never said anything to the contrary. I was speaking to the Odom trade, and Artests trade value in general. Ron can play and if he can stay on the court(big If) he will make our team better... but If you think this is going to end well I think you might be wrong.

Edit: Here's the thing, Ron Artest is a phenominal talent, he brings so much of what our team is lacking. Bonzi(if he can stay healthy) and Artest will make a formidable defensive front as far as the perimeter is concerned(even with Bibby). He can score in bunches inside and out... I don't dispute any of that. But I do realize(and I hope you guys do too) that Artest could come in and play his tail off, the Kings could turn it around and start winning games again, jump back up in the standings and maybe even make a bid for the 6th seed and be on a roll poised to do some damage in the postseason... and then Ron could just come in one day and ask to be traded, or want time off to work on his "girls" album, or say he wants to retire. Don't believe me? Just ask Indy. This guy is a ticking timebomb. My heart says give him a chance the team will definately be better, but my head is screaming at me... What are you a moron!? This guy has a track record and it is growing out of control, HE WILL BURY US! So as you can see I'm torn, but quietly confident my head will be proven correct in the end, Ron has never shown us anything different.
