Well, look at the bright side, the Kings' situation could be worse: you could have a generational talent, and the expectations that comes with, and still be terrible.

So platooning with the Grizz rears it's ugly head again? lol. It's almost Kangz level in terms of how that always ends up destroying their locker room historically, Fratello and Hubie say hi! Did get the Kings Bonzi Wells back in the day though. Hopefully it doesn't get them Morant however. haha.
Yeah, platooning is a nice idea in theory but the gap between star player and 9th/10th man is bigger in the NBA than probably any other league in the world so cutting their minutes to “allow extra intensity” does a double whammy of (a) increasing minutes for your scrubs and (b) decreasing the chances of your star making an impact. Also it generally ticks your star players off.

I'd rather have hockey subs than players taking entire nights off for load management. I guess if it doesn't produce results it doesn't produce results, but you have to wonder with all the achilles being blown before guys turn 27 if this could rectify that?

if teams believe that doing load management will help prevent further injuries from occurring more frequently, they will soon find out that it won't be the case. there is training for your sport and then there is training for your joints and surrounding muscles. biggest mistake that I see is trying to prevent injuries from occurring just because it happened to another player. at that point you have to look at the training schedule and volume so without knowing what goes on behind the scenes, its hard to pin point.

Cardiac Bulls with the 24 point comeback against the Sixers. Chicago is having a pretty good sports year with the return of the Bears and Bulls. I don’t know if it’s sustainable but the Bulls are fun right now.

I have no idea if it's sustainable, either, but it might be, given the weaknesses across the conference. Regardless, it's a useful data point for the Kings' front office to consider, if for no other reason than it should further underline the futility of a DeRozan/LaVine pairing, that Chicago should find success as soon as both were off their roster.

Random observation/opinion a few weeks into NBC's coverage of the NBA: I'd much rather they don't talk over both team's introductions as opposed to just the home team's introductions.
