Clutch

i think its very interesting that Melo is 8 of 14 and no mention of the self proclaimed "King James". Anthony has been playing well this season.

There's more to some of LeBron's clutch problems that simply can't be overlooked. Like not going to college, still quite young and has so much asked of him, having all the attention on him (on and off the court) with little or no help (that's improved this season though), along with being an inconsistent FT shooter. I believe (like many others) he will improve as he matures and, improves his overall game (yes, there are a few things). Most recently, the 5-game losing streak clearly wore on him.

'Melo's has had his clutch shots history publicized a bunch of times this season.

2 for 2, Doc. (The Toronto Arco game) ;)

I forgot about that one. See! Even better.

Just go to the link that he left with us, has a lot of players. Here are the players some of you asked for:

Dwyane Wade 5 15 .333
LeBron James 2 16 .125

Look it's Ron:

Ron Artest 3 8 .375

And some old Kings:

Chris Webber 5 16 .313
Predrag Stojakovic 2 3 .667

And of course there are some other interesting stuff like--

Most game winning/tying shots that were blocked:
Carter 4, Magloire 4, Nowitzki 3, Abdur-Rahim 3, Anthony 3, Lewis 3, Allen 3

If you ask any coach in the league to name a player whom they would want to take the last shot it would be Kobe. He was more than clutch when he had players to whom he can pass with confidence, this season I have seen more plays broken down because of the lack of understanding of the system by the lakers players and kobe has been taking lots of those bailout shots from 40 feet or so.

He got lucky a couple of times (mavs game was one i think) but that is not going to be the norm and it will bring down his %. But one thing is for sure, of the lakers make the playoffs and if the games come down to the wire, you will see a different laker team which will have a different person taking that last shot and PJ is just so cool that he would let a scrub take that shot.

PJ had the confidence in some of his role players to take the clutch shots and for him most of the time they delivered. I have seen a few games this season where the lakers could have won if only the role players or even odom had made some wide open shots. I think in the game against the heat at miami, they had every chance to win and due to Odom's stupidity they lost that game where I think he had that offensive foul, or was that against the kings.
