City Beat: Mayor OK with Kings move to Anaheim if they pay off loan

Given Graswich is still employed, I want KJ voted out out office. He's been a failure, and can't even keep his aides in check.

Given the many ways all this can be interpreted, finally KJ did the right thing for the public. The fact that a Maloof responded also can be interpreted many ways. In any case, it is not a negative that the two parties are making nice to each other.

Not sure anybody is surprised at KJ's failures as mayor. He had absolutely no experience and picked a total douche as his top aid.

Yeah. Not exactly sure how he could have gotten drunk enough to hire Graswich without having to get his stomach pumped.

The Maloofs are the only ones that have been quiet in all this and not giving info and keeping it tight to the chest. The deal is not done and believe that the KINGS will be in Sacramento next season.

KJ, you may be "fine" with it, but we fans are not. Fans who have followed the team through its best days and through its worst days. Fans who have created the most difficult arena for opposition to play in. Fans who have spent countless hours watching the Kings play in Arco Arena, Powerbalance Pavilion, or on Comcast Sportsnet. Fans who have grown to love each and every player to come through Sacramento and put on our Kings jersey. Fans who have been waiting 4 years for the team to get back to relevance, all the while still supporting the team. Fans who have watched the drafting and rise of young players, such as Tyreke Evans, DeMarcus Cousins, and Omri Casspi. Fans who have been told we just need to wait through this rebuilding stage and then we will have a great team once again. Well, we have waited. Our team has won 4 of the last 5 and this team looks like a team on the rise. It is time for Sacramento to be able to relish what we have been waiting for. This isn't about the city council, Kevin Johnson, or highly paid lawyers. This is about the fans. It's time we start getting treated with some respect.

I’m not even going to read the article, the title says it all…and my response to that is, are you kidding me!? No, is that all that he can say? “Pay off your debt and I’m more than fine if you leave.” Because you’re the only thing that matters here…no your not. There’s more to this than money, the fans are cringing and being torn and that’s all he can say. The city is going to lose money, fans aren’t going to have our team, people who work in Arco won’t have a job…yep…that’s all that matters…Unbelievable. What a joke.

I'm so glad they love us enough to want to take our team away. I hope they love us enough to stay long term. I don't want to be worried about my team moving to another city.

That's nice. His job is to represent ALL of the citizens of Sacramento.

I only voted for him because I thought he would be able to keep the Kings here or get an arena financed. Now that that appears to be a pipe dream I will try to vote him out next election........and as for Graswich, I thought the Maloofs had made some poor choices in recent years. But R.E. Graswich? Give me a frickin break. He has always hated the Kings and the Maloofs.
