i think he was the john kitna of last season with such a breakout season like that. i wanna see how he follows
reports from camp say he is looking even stronger and more dangerous with his passing.

niners fan, no doubt.... how can some of u say we barely double our victories from last year? we will win at least 6-7 games for sure. even last year we had like 3 or 4 games that we couldve won.

the problem i see is the inexperience at qb. tim rattay is the only "veteran" Qb with 6 years. the rest have 2-3 years and aloex smith coming in as a rookie.

Losing games that we could've won is a sign of a bad team. Any team can put together some drives early and jump out to a lead while the other team is sleeping. It takes a good team to hold that lead and maintain composure under pressure. I think we could potentially win 10 games, as in hang with teams till the end in 10 or more games with an opportunity to win, but the talent and, more so, experience on this team is just not there to pull out the big wins late in the game. 5 games would be optimistic at this point. One new player on the o-line that killed us last year, some players returning from injury on D, who probably won't be at full strength, and a rookie QB with some potential but a terrible WR core and only one good receiver in Johnson, not to mention he won't be given the starters role until later in the year, I wise decision. In the long run, I think Gore, Johnson and Smith may turn into real good players, and we've got a few other talented young guys sprinkled throughout the team. But we just don't have what it take right now to play hard when it counts and really beat teams. Last year we has two wins. Both against the Cardinals. One we had to scramble desperately from behind and barely won (although I'll admit it was a great game anyway, especially being there to see it happen :) ) and the second was a victory that we should have had wrapped up but nearly blew anyway. I am not left with much confidence for this year.
