AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Former Detroit Pistons coach Chuck Daly has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Daly, 78, "is being treated for the cancer and his family is requesting privacy," the team said on Friday.​

Yeah, just read that. Penn's great contribution to the NBA (he was our coach when we made a Final Four run back in 1979). Classy guy too. Wish him the best. But pancreatic cancer is a tough one.

No kidding; my favorite uncle died from pancreatic cancer back in November. I hope he's able to beat it but, if not, I hope he's able to live out the string as comfortably as possible.
