Chris Sheridan (Bibby most likely gone of all the possible stars)

You know that Jones/Banks deal just sounds fishy to me. Yeah, Damon can shoot threes. But his deal is just as bad as Banks, and he's older. They've really got a majotr financial oops coming up here -- mcheck the numbers and they are shooting over the tax threshold by $10mil jsut on extensions/normal increases. It would seem they would have to liquidate BOTH Bansk and Thomas for enders in order to avoid that, unless they were planning on jsut giving away a high priced player ot a team with cap room this summer.

You're probably right on that. Here's a way that would make more sense to get the Kings a pick:

Sacramento outgoing:
Bibby
Pota

Sacramento incoming:
Marcus Banks
PJ Brown
Pollard
Ira Newble
Pavlovic
Cleveland 1st (via Phoenix)

Chicago outgoing:
PJ Brown

Chicago incoming:
Drew Gooden

Cleveland outgoing:
Drew Gooden
Pollard
Damon Jones
Pavlovic

Cleveland incoming:
Bibby

Phoenix outgoing:
Marcus Banks
Cleveland's 1st (they own)

Phoenix incoming:
Potapenko

This way Phoenix wipes out Banks' contract (and gets a pick). Newble's deal expires after next year. The Kings would get about $8 million in cap relief this year and more next year. Not sure how all this squares with roster size, but at least this gets the Kings a pick.

isn't chicago interested in SAR?

Would love to move Bibby, but not interested in Banks, or even James really. Why do we need a PG back? If we're going to have another shooter masquerading as a PG, why not just slide Salmons to the one? Just enders and picks please.

I was going for a trade that didn't land Gooden in Sacramento, and I'd think he'd be a decent power forward for them. If, however, Gooden lands in Sacramento then this is possible:

Sacramento outgoing:
Bibby
Shareef
Hart

Sacramento incoming:
Marcus Banks
Gooden
PJ Brown
Pollard
Cleveland 1st (via Phoenix)

banks isn't a "shooter", he's a good slasher with passing ability, driving and kicking is his deal offensively. his main asset is his defense, really good defender and he's still young and played well when he got the minutes with the twolves. i like him.

He's also a lot less expensive than I thought he was. I was under the impression he was making $5 mil a year, but it's more like $3.5. At that price he's not too bad.
