Chris Kaman anyone?

I'm not sure I'd say we're going after Kaman when the snippet you link to merely lists the Kings as one of several teams (Lakers, Warriors, Hawks, Kings, Knicks) who are interested. Woj also says Kaman is "very interested in returning to Southern California."

Sources: Chris Kaman, Lakers interested in deal

The Lakers appear to be moving quickly to fill the hole left by Dwight Howard's departure.

At this point we would be better served signing any number of young swatters,or even making a larger offer to Anderson. The Caveman has actually gotten even slower and less effective.

God no.

You want to talk about a real offensive blackhole who can't defend? Kaman is your man.

All he does well is rebound

If for some strange reason, he did sign with the Kings, would it be a good signing or a bad one?

And we suck at rebounding. Plus, he was extremely effective in the limited minutes that he played in Dallas. He's actually a solid defender...don't know where you got the thought that he can't defend.

Watched the Mavericks around 10 times last season and he made them worse. The team was much better when Wright or Brand was on the floor with Dirk. The numbers back it up as well

Two words. Kevin Seraphin. 2011- 1.3 BPG, 20 MPG (57 games played) .. And his offensive game is SUPER refined, incredible touch. I posted a video of him in the shotblockers thread. check it out.

Not sure how the Lakers can sign him, full MLE? Can't imagine a center getting less than 5M a year after what Hickson and Zaza just got. Either way, I think he would be perfect at our SF spot. Boy I bet he can really hit the three too!

Another guy that can shoot the basketball. That seems like the trend lately.

As I said in the Personnel forum, this looks like we're still playing Petrieball. Everybody has to be able to shoot/score. Nobody defends.

Totally agree. Never loved kaman when he was younger and he hasn't improved. I like wrights game and would love it if we gave him a shot
