Hi KingsFans!

Anyone missed my prediction game?

I am running a short prediction contest for our 8 games in the Orlando bubble!
And this time it's on a Google Form.

Just follow the link and enter your predictions for all 8 games:

Your email will serve as your ID for the contest.

You may predict all of the games at once, or only tonight's game... It's up to you.

Even if you predict all the games at once, you may later use the same link again
to post changed predictions to any remaining game you choose.

Only the most recent prediction for each of the games will count as your prediction
(provided that it wasn't submitted after the game has started...)

The scoring method is the same one that I used in my old prediction game.
(I will remind you of it later tonight in this thread)

I didn't see the competition. In any case I would have predicted a win for us and gotten 0 points anyway...

I mean... we had them. It was ours for the taking.
A statement W against Luka and the Mavs...
A new hope for making the 9th spot and squeezing into the playoffs after so many years...
And then... THAT. :oops:

It really seems like the Kings don't WANT to win, don't WANT to advance to the post-season...
Such a loser mentality...
It's really beyond my comprehension. Ugh!

In our little game here, we were quite evenly split
between those who predicted a (well deserved :mad:) surprise-win (4 of us)
and those who anticipated a loss to the best offense in the NBA (3 of us).

Hence, 3 of us scored fairly high, for the 1st time.

It's about time!

Not only the first W, but also the high scores all-around for us, KFs...

In contrast to game 1, where we were all wrong
this time WE WERE ALL RIGHT (all 7 of us)!

And still, none of us predicted that large a margin or such prolific offensive production,
so we all scored in the low 40s, with @Tetsujin winning the night with an unimpressive 42.

That was UNBELIEVABLY more FUGLY than anything I could have imagined...

I mean - I know that these short-handed Nets beat the bucks 3 days earlier,
but they are NOT a team we should lose to. Not if we want and need this.

There was no passion or grit in the Kings' game.

Here in our contest, we're back to usual :confused:

None of us predicted a loss.
In fact, our average prediction was almost the exact opposite of the actual outcome,
as we predicted a 13pt W and got a 13pt L...

We are still a whole day ahead of our next game, against the Rockets
but here are the predictions we all made for this one.

The average Kings score: 113.57
Average Rockets score: 124.86
Average margin: -11.29

The only thing I'm glad about is that I didn't change my prediction to a Kings W...

We're already 1 out of 6!
Note that the F#&% Suns have 7 consecutive wins !! :eek: while playing only against high seeded teams!
(*Yes, Seven! They also won their only scrimmage game. They're undefeated in 5 months!...)

Down here, most of us (all accept bubulina, with the W-prediction) scored well,
with Capt. Factorial (18) and Tetsujin (16)
coming closer than everyone else to the actual margin (17),
to tally 61 and 60, respectively.

But the best of us all was chief bromden with 63, as he only missed
Houston score by 1
Sactown score by 2
points margin by 3

This happens to also be a new record for highest score in our short contest!
Way to go, chief!

Another game tonight (6pm, vs the Pelicans) and...
once again, NONE of us predicts a loss!
(Such die-hard fans we are...)

It's ALL W-predictions, coast to coast (well, we're only 7, but still...),
with the highest margin at 10 (bubulina: 108-98),
and the lowest margin at 1 (Capt. Factorial: 99-98)
