I agree. There's excitement there that was totally missing last year. It's just fun to see the team come out in the third quarter and not be under the influence of the Muss Kool-aid.

Huh? So when is a 20 point loss from a team that scores 69 points win-win? You need to show me. I don't see it. Maybe it's just me. No negativity here - just reality.

I'll try to explain this. Alot of "fans" here want us to lose every game so they can be a "fan" 3 or 4 years from now when top draft picks pan out instead of watching and enjoying Kings games in there current setup. So a loss is a win for them.
The other win comes for the fans that are the ones that want to see us win each game instead of "hoping" for something 3 years down the road from players that are still borowing the car from mom and dad. So a game like this where we were overmatched and shot poorly yet never lost that fire and never gave up because of HEART. heart goes along way with me. Heart from the players show me that they are being coached right and things are going to get better. Its just to bad that same fire and heart isn't in the type 1 "fans".

probably both. there was this really obnoxious one sitting in front of me who held up the flagrant sign everytime somebody got fouled on the C's. Then I told him that all the C's did was shoot threes and tonight they were lucky because they hit so many and he looks at me and says "RON ARTEST POKED KEVIN (bleep) GARNETT IN HIS (bleep) EYE!" He mumbled something else then proceeded to hold up his arms in a cross.

Well one thing I liked tonight was the aggressive play, nice to see not giving things without a fight.
That's the type of team I really like, won't take any bs and play really aggressive and ferocious.

And just about everybody else in ARCO was feeling the same way. I was at the game too, and when Boston hit back to back 3's to put the lead up to 11 within seconds, the energy dropped because they knew that any run the Kings could go on would be answered by the celtics. Dissapointing performance by Beno and Miller tonight, but I like how they kept KG from posting up a lot, and I like that they were able to rebound from a 29 point half and make it a 5 point game in the 4th. They took over the 3rd, and I like that kind of hustle and effort.

Garcia i understand but this isnt the first time theus has done this. Its a blowout VF, im glad they hustled and we all know they did and they know they did as well. But what does that have to do with justin williams and spencer hawes getting playing time? The fact that the game was decided makes it even more logical to give SOME time to our young big men.
I understand that Theus is trying to win games but when those games have a deficit that is hard to overcome, then its time to pull out the starters/veterans.

Im not that type though, i was just talking about those types of fans like you are talking about now. I want this team to win AND play with heart, i dont care about the lottery that much to a point where i root for us to lose...that is just silly IMHO. I love this team and a loss is not any kind of win to me, i think you just misunderstood my previous post.

Even though we lost by 20 last night I had a remarkably fun time at the game last night- It made me want to go to another one. I had fun lots of fun making fun of a guy sitting behind me who apparently is a long lost nba commentator because he wouldn't shut up the whole game- according to him last night was our worst game of the season, yet according to him we also managed to have our best run of the season in the 3rd quarter- go figure! I was so glad when he finally left with 6 minitues left in the 4th- too bad the kings didn't make a run for it and win the game that would have been hillarious!

I dunno - I guess I'm a bit of a purist. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. There are no moral victories from a loss, and no downers from a win. If a team is "overmatched" as you say, players and coaches should still come up with a plan for victory, and not settle for that ubiquitous "moral" victory. Anything else is unacceptable. HEART will only take you so far if you're not winning.

While that is true, there are moral losses. Like the Denver game. Its soimething they will think about when other teams go on runs. Its something they will think about in close games.
On TV, on the replay, I couldn't see where Garnett got hit in the face at all. What a big baby.

No dont get me wrong, he is a hell of a competitor but he doesnt stike me as a guy who can take a ton of contact. He isnt a shq or a duncan in the sense that he is willing to bang down low. There is a reason he takes sooo many jumpshots. I didnt mean he was soft like peja is or anything, but did you see how long KG was layed out on the floor? If that was acting then he will give denzel a run for his money when the golden globes come up.Oh yes. KG = soft. LOL! That's right.....anthony peeler threw that elbow in the playoffs and caught KG off guard...it was funny to see a lil guy like that going after someone like KG.

KG isn't soft. He's a warrior, and now he's on a team that recognizes and brings out his talent. Dude brings it every night, and he brought it every night on those crappy TWolves teams of the last few years. Props to him, but I still hate the Celtics on principle.
