Cavs Still Have Deal For Bibby On Table
August 26, 2007 - 9:27 am
Plain Dealer -
League sources have said that a possible deal for Sacramento Kings ' point guard Mike Bibby is still on the table for the Cavaliers, but it will take letting go of Drew Gooden to sweeten the pot.

The Cavs could also make a one player for two deal with the New York Knicks or Dallas Mavericks . The Knicks have 16 players on their roster and the Mavericks have 17. Each team is in need of giving up two for one to reduce their roster.

There's also a wild card in the mix. The Cavs may also conduct some secret workouts to see what's left of former players like Allan Houston and Oakley. Jalen Rose, who spent last season on the bench with Phoenix, could also receive a look. The Cavs still have to decide what to do with restricted free agents Anderson Varejao and Sasha Pavlovic. Expect those deals to get completed early next month. [READ]

KEEP MIKE BIBBY. WE DON'T NEED ANYMORE BIG MEN! UNDER THEUS HE WILL FLOURISH.

No they don't...there is absolutely NO offer they would realistically put up that would appease the Kings AND the Cavs. That article REEKS of B.S.

There's no way IMHO this deserves a new thread. I checked the article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer - the part about the Kings is on the second page of a two page article which is primarily about Charles Oakley possibly going to the Cavs, and even that looks more like wishful thinking on Oakley's part. Just not much substance to the article - and certainly nothing new about the Kings.

For that reason I'm closing this thread - with a reminder.

If you are going to post links to articles, make sure you post the link to the site of origin, which in this case would have been the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Thanks.
