Carlesimo on Kings List as interviews begin

interviewing PJ is just nuts, this is the one guy in the NBA that has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he can NOT replace Adelman. How could anyone possibly thing things will be different this time?

Sam Amick late last night said that there was a rumor that PJ had been snuck in to meet with GP and the Maloofs last night.

What? They would actually sneak him in? Looks like we end up with PJ Choke or Whisenant>_<.

Ew...one hopes not. But unfortunately I remain concerend that the "new look" Maloofs are perfectly capable of egomaniacally doing the big stupid here. See, because their WNBA team won last year, so now they are big winners and know how its done. So no need for process, listening to basketball people, etc.

I know I'm being a little shortsighted here, but the biggest problem I have with PJ is that he was assaulted by one of his players, and did nothing. Even my young daughter knows enough to head-butt someone who grabs her and break their nose.

If he doesn't have the stones to fight back, I don't want him!

Ok, I ducked, let the arrows fly!

That's just...silly. Yes, obviously there should have been a brawl.

Suffice it to say if that was how you solved player/coach disputes there would be a lot fewer Bobby Knight wannabes in the world.

So...I'm a teacher. If one of my 7th graders comes after me, I'm supposed to kick his a**? Man...I've been doing things wrong all these years! And I thought I was being professional!

Nowadays, don't you have to worry more about being shot from the back row?

;)

Well gotta admit, that would get their attention. :P

Of course part of PJs problem was the very fact that he treated grown men like they were children and they quicklly got tired of it.

.

Of course you're right, but the point I'm sort of trying to make is that the mentality I'd want in a coach is not someone whose response to an attack is to hope someone else saves him or that hopefully he'll regain conscousness again later.

It does not indicate to me that he can handle a crisis or make a quick adjustment to win a tough game. It also doesn't show me a winning mentality. I know it sounds silly, but I'm being honest here. Give me a coach who'll run toward the fight rather than one who'll watch or run away!

Any more room...

on the Elie bandwagon? I'm all for it. Not only is he a winner and known for his defense, he's TOUGH. He will provide even more TOUGHNESS to a suddenly TOUGH team.

Defense wins championships!

And bring back Bobby Jackson! Any takers for Hart????
