calvin booth anyone??? just released under the amnesty rule... he is a shotblocker and rebounder, with no offensive game... career avg 4.1pts/3.3reb/1.2bls per game in just 14.3min/game... he could be a nice, cheap addition to come off the bench, since he will still be paid by the bucks... he would give us some defense at the end of the bench....

Didn't Ostertag offer the same sort of player? I think a player must be able to pass and shoot to some degree to be of any use to Adelman.

Actually Booth has better shootig touch than you might think. And he's soft. So perfect fit. :)

This is the cheap/minimum wage option to patching the frontline with a shotblocker and backup to Brad. Been anticipated and discussed in other threads. If it happened, would not be a complete shock.

Well, then if he is soft, then that is NOT who we need. We need a back-up for brad who can block shots, do D, do some screens, average 4-8 points a game, and can be a banger. A "tough" guy as a back-up.

Mark Blount
Mikki Moore
Ruben Boumjte Boumjte
Zendon Hamilton

Maybe even Elson or Rasho...

oh man, that is one ugly dude to have on our roster;) :p

Booth would be my last option to get a back up big man. I am still hoping that Petrie will make a trade that lands us a legitimate 7 footer who is a very good back up for Brad. Someone who provides us with shot blocking, defence and rebounding. If all other options fail then sign Booth for a minimum but I would be looking for someone better.

One other concern is that he is injury prone. Couple that with an injury prone Miller and you are playing with fire :(
