Justin seems content with just being a role guy riding into the background which is... better than forcing bad shots, I guess?

I'm not going to give Vlade that much credit on Guy because if he actually really really liked him he would have drafted him at 40 or even 47. Trading back to 55 was a risky move for someone Vlade liked (allegedly) when he was projected in most mock drafts to go a little before that.

Granted I'm glad the Kings got him but they should have drafted him earlier if they actually had faith in him. As I mentioned in the Kyle Guy thread after he was drafted........if you can make 3's at a high percentage in the NBA, they will absolutely find a spot for you and find playing time. Especially in today's 3-point obsessed NBA. If you can get your shot off and make a high percentage of them they will find a way to get you on the court.

JJ seems to defer to other players a lot, kinda like old JJ. Lacking aggression. Guy does not seem to have that problem.
Guy is the embodiment of shooters gonna shoot. He's like the anti-Jimmer in the sense that he knows he's not great at stuff like dribbling the ball but doesn't let that affect him anyways.

It’s called confidence. Kyle Guy has that in spades and was a go to guy on a National Champion.

Give Justin James some time to acclimate. He went from Wyoming to an NBA SL team.

Imo, it looks like something might be there to build upon. He needs to get stronger in his lower half. But he’s got physical skills and athleticism and looked pretty comfortable handling the ball when he got the opportunity.
