Cal @ Stanford game this weekend

OK. Who is going to the Cal @ Stanford game tomorrow (Saturday, Valentine's Day) at the Maples Pavilion at 8 pm?

Saw their first meeting this season and the intrigue of how things shake out the second time around may be better than the game itself, so heck yeah I'm there.

i saw Cal lose to OU in San Jose, the freak game ...

then beat Stanford at Haas ...

and going to Maples to see tonight's game ...

i would love it if Cal could win ... it would be huge for them ...

it will difficult though ...

That game turned into Oklahoma-esque freak show for Cal now didn't it? That was just weird.

Oh well, this will just make the Pac-10 tournament face-off (should it happen) all the more compelling must see TV...:)

deja vu all over again ...

hey MBF ... i kept an eye out for you at the game, but didn't see ya ... maples is prety small too ...

yeah, after mulling the game over for a few days ... i am thinking it was the OU meltdown all over again ...

cal was up 22-18 at the half, and then opened up a 10 point lead at 30-20 ... but then went to sleep while stanford went on a 38 - 11 run to end the game ...

i don't know why the bears just started standing around on both ends ... but they did ...

the officiating was incredibly bad too ... i give it an "F" for failure ...

AGL couldn't get going ... even her shoes seemed to be slipping on the floor ...

on the (cal) plus side, dev was running better, and rama did get a few more minutes ... also, i enjoy dev's odd, knock kneed? stride ... as well as ashley's hippety hopping bouncy way of running ...

folks were packed in to maples ... fortunatley the woman behind me did not have the sharpest knees in the world ... as her knees and my back had nowhere else to go ... ; )

the maples polish dog was okay too ... way better than the refs ... ; )

Aw man. I was up in the nether-regions of Maples, sorry I missed you. We'll connect via PM next time before hand.

I compare that game to the OU game only because it was indicative of the "Bad Cal" that likes to choke up leads and melts when teams make a run at them. Which has actually been their m.o. longer than OU, that game was just the most spectacular train wreck quality disasterific version to me. What I think surprised me was that they seemed to have figured stuff out since that fateful game.

I thought Cal was gonna string at least a couple of baskets together in the middle of that Stanford run and that they let that game turn into a one sided scrimmage is what surprised me the most.

The Maples polish sausages are good, my standard is the garlic fries tho.
