Hall of Famer
Another trip to the memory lane - On February 9th 1999 Kings won in Phoenix 112 - 95. it was a first road victory and a first above .500 record in Adelman era. Webber was huge again with 26/20/6/3bl, JWill had 22/5/5, Corliss had 18/8, Vlade had 11/7/7 and TAW had 13/4. pedja had 13/5/3st of the bench. Kings won all 4 quarters.

"Our game plan was to move the ball, get to the open guy, run and get back on defense and to make sure where everybody was
especially Kidd and Gugliotta,"
Webber said. "We feel we can run with anybody. And then when we got out in front, we wanted to slow it down and be a smart team."
---------------------------------------------------------------
Kings 21 - 27 taking care of business at home.Another winning streak was started and hopefully - it will last longer than usual (3 games max). Kings also still last in the pacific but Warriors are getting very close. Also other teams ahead of us are not tearing up so Kings are still in the mix. 6 games home winning streak looks finally like Kings of old but Kings will not make up any ground at home. Only way to make up ground is the road and Kings still need to prove that they are capable on winning away from ARCO. They badly failed so far
----------------------------------------------------------------
Never a dull moment around here. While we are winning the game on Tuesday night - we were 'trading" Bonzi, Brad, etc. Makes no
sense. Most of the time it takes at least one bad game for "trade talks" to start. Now, it is down to a bad possesion. "We" are willing to trade a player because of a turnover. Grass just isn't any greener anywhere else folks, it just isn't.
---------------------------------------------------------------
We had some "twilight zone" moments last night - when we were grateful for the existance of Violet Palmer. The hell froze over instantly and they are still fixing it. Webber wouldn't have ever gotten that call - ever. Kings weren't supposed to get that call. We cheated the system here. We will pay for it. I don't know where and when and how but we will pay for it and it won't be cheap. (final destination)
---------------------------------------------------------------
It was great to see Bobby last night. it sucked to see an other team benifiting from his performance especially in times where Kings don't even have a backup PG. ARCO did it again as it was deserved and expected. it is hard not to miss bobby and not just as a player. We got a bit lucky that a "great coaching mind" Fratello decided to go with Atkins. Who know what would have happen otherwise because Bobby came to play and we knew he would. We will see each other again and soon. However, for me Bobby will always and forever be a King.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Kings made it awfully close last game. Kinda lucked out at the end but it was still a well deserved win. Warrick won the TDM award in the first half. Bobby was big, Gasol was solid but Miller was nowhere to be found. That is pretty much that Memphis had to offer. Keving was veru efficient and Brad came up big and won the game with 2 shots as big as they come. Just keep it up.
--------------------------------------------------------------
TNT game tonight so make sure You build up a tollerance level because You will need it. It will be annoying (Barkley) and we might end up with Steve Kerr but as long as we win - it will be worth it. Just hope - that there is no overtime in game 1.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Bulls are next and we caught a break here because they just finished a game in Denver. they will be tired and if we jump on them - we should be OK. They have good offensive rebounding - so we will have trouble. They are young and athletic. Darius will stop by to say "hi." Also we get a chance to see all the players that we didn't trade Pedja for. There will probably be some trade proposals as the game goes along
---------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - Bobby owned him but it wasn't enough. Mike did enough for us to win - meaning he gets one more chance befor being traded.
Brad - came back at the right time. Might have a hard time with Chandler tonight.
Bonzi - get well soon again preferably before the 23rd.
SAR - I hope the man gets a proper meal soon because - he earned it.
Ron - pills continue to work. Hope he feels better.
--------------------------------------------------------------
KT - finally had a good game minus turnovers. Do it again !
Kevin - scored 15+ - end of story
Garcia - nice game there Cisco.
Skinner - will probably lose a little PT that he had - soon
Hart - finally finding the role that he fits in the best
Corliss - who knows ?
Price/Sampson - Mateen
--------------------------------------------------------------
RA - drew up nice 2 plays to free up Brad at the 3pt line:eek:;) late in the game
--------------------------------------------------------------
bulls have lost 4 straight on this 7 game trip before beating Nuggets. they will be tired tonight. Hard to pick a TDM favorite simply because it could be anybody. Will be a fun game to watch and Kings will win their 7 straight at ARCO

I don't think it'll be too easy, as the Bulls play scrappy, and are deep. With Duhon/Harrington not playing a lot in the game tonight, and Sweetney/Pargo not at all. Was glad to see Chi get that win, they needed it after a tough road-trip so far.

But ultimately, Kings get the W!

Also, wouldn't be surprised at all if Hart gets some PT again because of Chicago's 4 small guards. ;)

If Reggie is along with Marv/Kerr (he has been a few times before), I'd think he would be with Ron and all. Should be more fun than usual. He fits right in with the TNT guys.

Owned, yes.
Trade happening and this being his last game, wrong.

We have been only allowing 93 PPG since the trade, just need to play smart the offense side of the ball, like piksi said, they might be tired, so i hope to see Martin and Bibby go right at the rim to start the game...

Probably out of topic: Peja blocked 2 shots in his game against Portland. Hey wait a minute, did that ever happen when he was in SacTown?

This was our game #3 (I think) of that season and In the 1st quarter when JWill thrw into Webb, Jwill cuts to the basket. And Webb throws a no look between his legs pass to Jason who lays it up in a flash. I was "" at the pass and Jwills quickness.

I knew we had the makings of something special that night.

Btw...... Ill be at tonights game. Courtside 4th row:D

yea get to see this one, i can deal with Chuck, they'll probably some of their stupid pix to make me laugh. How many times will he say we suck? Anyone wanna take bets?

I am pretty sure that the majority got it.
heh, maybe it was just a lame joke then.

Anyway, sorry, back to the game...I like the Kings to win this one by a wide margian, 15 points maybe.

Indeed, vs. Charlotte at Arco last season. Had 12 boards also in that game.

you seem to have trouble communicating this to people...

I got it easy enough. He had just finished ranting about how quick triggered Sacfandom had become in demanding trades. The "trade Bibby" had ( lead in .... setup..... swing for the stands :)) written all over it.

But, Doc, you got that big brain thing working for you.

;)

Seriously, I cannot believe this thread has actually dissolved into a discussion of whether or not piksi's blatantly sardonic comment was above people's heads...

The only ones who shouldn't have been expecting it should be those who have never read anything by our resident Piksimist before.

----------------------------------------

Back to the game discussion... I expect more good things tonight. This team is finally coming together without any of the carryover drama from seasons past. The new guys (and MOST of them are new guys) are finding their niches and they're really learning to trust each other. The focus of the offense has changed, but the "passing, cutting, thinking and trusting" philosophy of a certain Pete Carrill has never been more evident IMHO.

The Kings are back, and we've got em!!!

:D

Kings are getting the Bulls on a back-to-back on the road. They took the nuggets in a close one last night, but seems to me odds are in our favor for a W. Will be nice to see Darius again.

I'm especially proud of the trobbing veins in my temples ;)

(and the fact that I can duplicate the sound the 6-million-dollar-man makes jumping over a 15 foot wall by scrunching up my face, concentrating and making my temple vein throb faster)

Looking forward to this one. I expect that after this game we will have consensus on Kingsfans.com that Tyson Chandler or someone like him is THE piece that we need for the rebuilding to be largely complete.

My keys to the game:
- Martin needs to have his shot on and to take it to Gordon early. Make sure that Skiles cannot play Gordon extensive minutes. When Gordon is on, he can't really be stopped that easily, but Skiles will bench him if he is getting punished on D.
- Try to get Chandler in early foul trouble. Every time you attack him you run the risk of getting the ball swatted into row Z, but Chandler is unable to adjust his game if he is getting called for 50-50 fouls. He is either completely on and all intense or non-factor (i.e. benched).
- Match Bulls intensity. They may be tired from last night's emotional victory, but if they come out to play we need to match their intensity or they are liable to go on huge runs. OTOH, they can go into quarter-long slumps for no apparent reason whatsoever.

Match up of the night:
Ron v. Noce. :) I can't wait to see that. Actually, Noce has hugely improved on offense this year, with steady shooting. Still an all hustle player but strangly enough not Bowenesque, borderline dirty like he was last year. I actually can't wait to see these two go at each other, and hopefully matchups on the floor will work like that.

I just can't wait to actually SEE them play again. I get to LISTEN to all of them, but seeing is believing!! I have a good feeling about tonight. We are LONG OVERDUE for a nationally televised win.

Have we had one this season? Doesn't matter, we will get it TONIGHT!!!

Agreed on Ron vs. Noce, bozzwell. That'll be a blast to watch. Be the first meeting between them too.

Wouldn't say he's a complete hustle player anymore though, as the PPG average should be lower then. Also just from watching him all season.
