Daily Southtown - As part of the Ben Wallace agreement, the Bulls are believed to have promised to continue their pursuit of Minnesota Timberwolves star forward Kevin Garnett, according to Paul Ladewski of the Daily Southtown.

The Bulls believe they can revive the talks if they sweeten their offer of center Tyson Chandler and forward Luol Deng with recent first-round draft pick Tyrus Thomas, whom the Timberwolves are known to covet.

Another possibility is a trade with the Denver Nuggets , who re-signed center-forward Nene to a six-year, $60 million deal recently. The contract was similar to the extension that Chandler received last summer

lol, Bulls gonna trade for Wade or Redd or Allen too? ;)

I love how people pick and chose which rumor they decid is a fact and then scoff at the other rumors.

The guy who "leaked" the Chandler rumor appears to have very good sources. I would tend to give more credence to him than to a "Bulls are believed to have promised to continue..." etc.

The guy was golden on both Peja and Bobby, but who knows? Posting stuff before it actually happens - just because your source has very reliable information - is always iffy.

:)

Paxson might be trying to get this KG deal to work with Chandler included, and if he doesn't go anywhere with it, he will then trade Chandler to the Hornets instead.

That COULD be, of course...

That's part of the fun of TDOS. Waiting to see which rumor is true, which is mere conjecture, which might have actually contributed to something else happening, etc.

OOOOOHhhhhhhh..... nice!!

Or, maybe it's a JO trade hes tryin to work?

The rumor about Tyson to Hornets has been around for a LONG time, and reports keep coming out saying they are "Close to finishing the deal". I'm thinking Paxson is trying a bigger deal first, but knows he can fall back on the Hornets trade. I don't think there is any offer to Indy though.

"The Bulls took two extra days before finalizing the agreement with the Hornets, as they were believed to be making one final attempt to round up a better offer, possibly for Minnesota’s Kevin Garnett. Instead, they settled on an exchange that would equally benefit both teams." Oklahoman

"Paxson called Minnesota Timberwolves operations chief Kevin McHale the other day, only to be told Garnett wasn't available. "How can the trade be dead when it was never alive," Paxson said after the fact." Daily Southtown

"A front line of K.G., Wallace and bodyguard Andres Nocioni would rank among the best around. Add Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich in the backcourt and Khryapa, Malik Allen, Chris Duhon, rookie Thabo Sefolosha and Mike Sweetney off the bench and the Bulls are a 50-win team with immediate NBA Finals potential. With Garnett signed through the 2008-09 season, they would have a three-year window to pull it off." Daily Southtown
