Brad Miller

Brad needs to shoot more. I've been saying that ever since we stopped going to him last year. His jumper from 15-20 ft. is probably as good as Peja's....and he gets them wide open all the time.

Any questions?

(ps--didn't mean to steal your "thing" VF...but this is Brad we're talking about)

why couldn't he get his teammates to give him 5 more assists.

I think he was too selfish

:D

That full court pass by Brad was incredible! He really showed why he's an All star tonight. He came to play tonight and showed every facet of his game. Thats a lot of facets...

Brad Miller played like a superstar today and worthy of going to the All-Star game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I still hope he doesn't. He needs an injury free fishing weekend.

I know, I almost wish nobody on the Kings goes, but I think Brad is probably a likely candidate considering the lack of quality bigs in the NBA.

Hahaha!! How true! :D

Glad you beat me to it, iheartBrad!

Brad was definitely the man among the men tonight. It's been a long time since I've seen him that focused.

I do love this team!!!

Yes, that is true. I was referring however to him stepping up in Webb's absence, rather than the #'s
Thats true.. Vlade did hold it down last year when Webb was out. Remember that 11 game stretch when he avg. over 10 assists a game? I miss Vlade..

Some quotes after the game from Brad/about Brad:
(courtesy of http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=250125023)

Brad:
"They always say I'm probably the only person in the league that doesn't want to shoot enough. When Webb is out, I know I've got to be able to step up and change my role a little bit. I'm cool doing it every now and then."

Rick Adelman: "I don't think he's ever been a volume shooter. His first thought is to pass and to not take the shot. The way they were defending, he was going to get shot after shot after shot, and we kept telling him that." (Glad his teammates and coach is telling him to shoot more.)

Cuttino: "It's easy to get assists on this team when you have so many scorers and shooters and unselfish guys. Brad is one of the best-shooting big men out there, and he can take it to the hole, too. But he's unselfish."

Btw, Cat is averaging 4 assists a game since he became a King. When he was with the Magic, he was only averaging close to 2 assists a game. :)

Looks like Brad's got the shooting touch back. Nice to see. He's a huge weapon when he's taking and hitting those shots. Great game Brad. :)

Every now and then?...Brad every game hun every game

Speaking of how well Brad plays when Webb is out...........and I'm a Webb fan......

But does Webb necessairily make the other players around him better?

The individual efforts from Brad, Peja and maybe not as much Bibby seem to thrive when he's not on the floor. I haven't drawn any real conclusions yet.......thoughts?

they just know that they each have to put forth a little extra effort to fill that void that Webb leaves when he's not on the floor

Webb does make them better, for the record

I guess it begs the question......Imagine if that same effort were there all the time. That perhaps Webb lulls his teammates somewhat into a "Webb will get it done" mentality. And I recognize that every team has a "go to guy", but it's almost frustrating to see performances like last night and realize that even with Webb's talent added to that mix the increase in performance doesn't necessairily increase expotentially.......know what I mean?

And don't get me wrong.....they are most definitely a better team with Webb. It's just the phenomenom that I'm curious about.

You tell him, iheartBrad!!! It should be every game...not "I'm cool with it every now and then". What about those in-between? Not cool? :D
