I've read it; it was my third least-favorite book read in high school, behind only The Scarlet Letter and Crime and Punishment.

Why isn't Farenheit 451 on that list? I remember their being talk about banning it.

Fahrenheit 451 isn't on there because that would be extremely ironic.

I'm suprised Adolf Hitler's "Mein Kampf (My Struggle)" is not on that list!

I think a lot of people into banning books maybe find some common ground with the author of Mein Kampf.

I'm reading Crime and Punisment at the moment. It's quite difficult to get into, but I can't let that put me off.

451 isn't on the BAN list, it's on the BURN list.

I'm surprised that the trilogy (Ishmael, My Ishmael and The Story of B) from Daniel Quinn has never been banned. Anyway, if your someone who has never been satisfied with life or the way "our world" operates, please get a copy of anyone of these. I would suggest starting with "My Ishmael"

I don't see Portnoy's Complaint either. I guess they don't consider it enough of a classic.
