Bill Walton...

SLAB

Hall of Famer
Did anyone watch the Nuggets/Lakers game that just now ended?

Was it just me, or did Bill Walton seem a little bit over the top with his Laker homerism tonight? Or at least during the OT period.

Everytime he talked, he seemed to be praising one thing or another.

Yeah, he was full on over the top tonight...

Really fun, wild game though. Kobe was awesome, sticking it to Denver. I love Denver's arena.

I think it's one collective thing by the national media to get the Lakers out there no matter whats going on. I understand Phil/Kobe are together again, and it's a big market. But jesus, they're not gonna win the division, and they're not going to be a lock for a spot in the post-season. They're over-hyping them and talking about them like middle-school kids.

You gotta admit there were a lot of backstories in that game. That's exactly why they scheduled LA in Denver. Regardless of what happens this year, it was sweet as hell to have Kobe nail those bastards in Denver. I only wish George Karl was there to witness it first hand.

Well, I already commented on the game[/i. I was talking about the general national media (ESPN/TNT) in talking about the Lakers (not just that night). I think it dies down a bit after premiere week is over though.

Nuggets aren't going to be as good as everyone thinks, as much as I've enjoyed (the most) them since Karl came in.
