Bill Simmons Must see NBA Teams, Kings #9

For those of you who are regular Simmons readers, you know that he is a Clippers season ticket holder (poor guy), anyhow, in this article he essentially ranks the NBA teams as far as what teams he would want to see in person. This is what he had to say about the Kings.

9. Sacramento
First Impression Games are one of my favorite things about owning NBA tickets. It's one thing to watch a young player on TV; it's another thing to see him person, study his body language, see his speed, see how he runs, see how he carries himself, everything. We already covered Griffin; I'm just as excited for DeMarcus Cousins, a polarizing draft prospect who vindicated the "Look, I Don't Care If He's a Little Crazy, You Don't Pass On Guaranteed Double-Double Guys!!!!!" camp with a breakout preseason. Cousins and Tyreke Evans????? No. 9 might be too low for the Kings. Can't wait to see them.

Amazing how much things can change with a couple high draft picks. If the Kings get off to a good start and Cousins and Reke start to click, I believe you will start to see the league market our Kings alot more.

Soooo ready for the regular season to start!!!

Yea I read this earlier, pretty good to see praise in the off season. Although I have become a little weary of pre-season praise after the egg niners have laid so far this season.

Difference being that people praised the niners with the thought that they'd make the playoffs where as this statement from Simmons is just claiming we'll be an exciting team to watch.

Thats true, hopefully the kings will be fun to watch.

Provided they move the ball better than they did in the last few preseason games.... We talk a lot about what kind of shape the players are in. I wonder what kind of shape PW is in these days. Players' individual performance is on them, but teamwork is largely on the coach, and while we did see a lot of it in the first half of last season, we saw very little of it in the second half, and virtually none in the preseason so far. I hope he has a plan.

Fortunately, I will able to see them early in the season against the lakers nov 3rd. Hopefully we get off to a good start.

It seems like Westphall has done the necessary adjustment with regards to the team's problem with emerging knuckle-head players ( Omri and Greene ). The seemingly selfish Omri is no longer projected as a starter. This helps ensure the foreseen chemistry problem will not materialized. Omri seems having accepted that he cannot be the number one option with Evans and Cousins playing alongside him. He is not that talented as of yet and he needs to play as a support player to Evans and Cousins. Greene's weight problem on the other hand is gone.

I am also hoping the Kings will be fun to watch.
