Best pitchers of the last 20 years?

Kind of curious how you have them ranked....

This is how I have the pitchers ranked that have at least 10 years in the league.

1. Roger Clemens
2. Tom Glavine
3. Greg Maddux
4. Pedro Martinez
5. Randy Johnson

Honorable mention; Kevin Brown, Curt Schilling, John Smoltz, Mariano Rivera, David Cone, Mike Mussina, Orel Hershiser, David Stewart, Bartolo Colon, David Wells, Andy Pettite.

Am I missing anyone? :( So many great pitchers!

There are a ton that don't have 10 years in the league yet, but look to be the next batch! Like Roy Oswalt, Barry Zito, Dontrelle Willis, Johan Santana, Matt Morris, Jason Schmidt, Brad Penny, AJ Burnett, and a TON others.

I remember Sandy Koufax, Don Drysdale, Catfish Hunter, Juan Marichal. ...sigh...

Has it been more than 20 years since Nolan Ryan last pitched?

My favorite one of all time had to be the one who pitched for the Angels. He only had one arm... talk about courage and commitment.

I lived in Anaheim when Abbott pitched for the Angels.. It was amazing to watch. Ha had 2 arms but only 1 hand..he would flip his mitt around so fast you could hardly see it. He could pitch and catch the ball even if it came right back at him!

I remember seeing a special about him on 20/20 or 60 mnutes or something. I was fascinated so I actually watched an Angels game just to see him. It was amazing. And you're right. I misspoke. It should have said "He only had one hand..."

For closers, Robb Nen has to be an honorable mention...Right up there with the all-time greats if he doesnt blow his arm out in the World Series.

And hands down: Roger Clemens.

Hmm..I would go:
1) Roger Clemens
2) Greg Maddux
3) Randy Johnson

HOFs all.

And then a significant gap before we get to the rest.

WHere is Pedro Martinez. He was most domminate pitcher of the group. I would even put him in first if it was not for longetivity of Clemens. Pedro in his prime was the best pitcher since Koufax.

Probably the 4th HOF guy, but he needs to have a good finish to his career to secure it. Best since Koufax? Er...had a great 4-5 years, and career, but then again so did all of those guys.

In his prime I truely believe he was the best pitcher since Koufax. Too bad he has some health issues he had to deal with the last couple of years.
