"Alrighty...I'm going to toss this out now, and we can kick it around for a while and see if it's do-able.

I say, for the next weekend away game (which according to my schedule is Sat July 22nd against Minnesota) we meet somewhere like a park/backyard with BBQ facilities and gather around a radio w/a potluck? That is, if it's not 1,000 degrees that day. If it will be scorching hot, we can settle on a plan B. But do I have any takers for this idea?

Two questions:

(1.) What time does the game vs. the Lynx start?

(2.) Since this is a road game, and I realize you'll be bringing a radio, is there no chance that this game will be on DirectTv? (Because if it were, I might've suggested that we would have a viewing party at Joey B's again. And with a weak opponent like the Lynx, we actually might see our M's *WIN* a game at Joey B's, thus, breaking the jinx!)

2) I don't believe it will be televised at all, but I will check again.

I'm not sure anybody's "weak" at home and the Lynx served up a 40 pt beat down of the league's best team so the M's I think will have to work to get that game. There will be a game on NBATv simultaneously (which we might want to keep an eye on too) LA @ Indy will tip an hour earlier.

Burgers on the grill this afternoon. I also have it on good authority that Carole will be bringing her famous brownies.

We will have the Monarchs on the radio at 5:00 and hope to have the Sparks game on NBATV starting at 4:00. If you are interested in joining us, send me a PM for directions.

LOL........I had a great time. Thanks for joining me.

Power was out for almost 2 hours. Temp was up to 88 degrees in here. Had to lie down with a damp rag to stay cool.

I worked inside with just fans, no air...we were so tired. The Monarchs game & win made me forget about the lousy conditions at work. Came home, turned on the Radio & wow...Monarchs up by 20! Nice start to the road trip.
