I have a question: if we buyout Terry's contract, we would have to pay him 100% for this season and 50% for the next one ($2.725.000), correct? Next year, will we have these $2.725.000 in our salary cap or the whole $5.450.000?
Unless there is some clause in the contract for guaranteed money, the buyout amount is negotiated between the parties. Generally its less than the full amount but not as little as 50% andthe buyout amount is counted in the cap for the duration of the contract
Not sure if Terry's deal was signed under the current or previous CBA, but looks like they may be able to spread out his cap hit under the stretch provision, no?

Are there restrictions on the "stretch provision?" I thought it was a provision to help teams to get out of mistakes and wasn't aware of restrictions from when contract was signed.
