Charles barkley finally gave the kings props! he said... "ron artest has been man handling him (manu) and bonzi has been spectacular he has been man handling bowen". This team here (the kings) is so physical and strong against bowen and ginobli they (the spurs) cant handle them, its plain and simple. Unless they (the spurs) get the game sped up and get ginobli in the open court, there gonna have a tough series." barkley never gives the kings props!!! then he went on to saying the kings game 5 should be on national tv. and how someone screwed up by not puttin it on tnt or espn.

i love it!

i think barkley never liked the kings because they were soft.... things have changed now and apparently so has barkleys opinion

Barkley is still a jerk. I watched the TNT guys for a few minutes after the game just to see how they would dodge giving the Kings any credit. They all acted like they were being audited by the IRS.

They will probably wind up being bandwagon Kings fans if the Kings keep winning. Where was the putz Steve Kerr? I wanted to hear what he had to say.

What are you talking about? They have given the Kings their due credit all season long. I've heard them on multiple occasions say how dangerous that the Kings could be in the playoffs and that nobody should want to play them first round. Seriously, do you expect them to be Kings homers? I wouldn't expect them to predict the Kings to win the series, they are just doing their job by giving their honest opinions. Sounds like sour grapes to me for all the times that Barkley and Kenny have been right about the Kings. I'm as big of a Kings fan as anybody, but I don't expect the rest of the world to see the Kings with the bias that I do.

Again, it's not the first time.

Barkley's praised the Kings several times this season, and each comment has inspired a new thread of shock and outrage that Charles Barkley has made a few favorable statements.

Barkley will change his tunes anytime a team get rid of international players in favor of American players.

I believe that "International" is code for white. Sorry, that's just what I think about Barkley.

Please explain this comment, because as of right now it seems very ignorant to me. So is Barkley in favor of International players? Or vice versa?

Your right, i was going to say in favor of African American players, but you know, didnt want to get too racial.

Charles is just telling it like it is, which is what he usually does. His personality might rub you the wrong way but I don't see how you can hate the guy. But it is true, this is a new era of Kings basketball.

No, its international. He is in fact married to a white woman (to the degree these nonexistent labels shoould beven be applied). But his issues seem to be mostly restricted to Europeans, who are basically all soft in his book. And maybe even all taking jobs away from Americans, although that is just speculation.

That is the most absurd thing I've ever seen on this board, Barkley isn't prejudice against white players. He's the biggest Manu fan in the world.

I agree with an earlier poster. I think Barkley doesn't like anything weak or soft. The Kings aren't as weak, and it's undeniable. The proof is in the puddin'

I don't understand the shock. We were SOFT before, and Chuck blasted us. Now we're PHYSICAL, and Chuck is giving us compliments. That makes complete sense to me. What's the big deal?

Also, don't forget that Chuck LOVES MANU, who, last time i checked, is not black or American...

I forgot about that. My bad.

Amen. That is exactly what Barkley bases his opinion on is how weak or soft a player is. He gives all sorts of credit to Manu and Kirilenko all the time, but he tells the truth about how soft players like Peja and Nowitzki are. I don't always agree with Chuck but I never doubt his motives, he's just being brutally honest, not prejudice. Well I guess you could say he's predjudice against softees.

Very well said. If you all forgot, Barkley and Reggie picked the KINGS to win the Pacific at the beginning of the season. Everyone seems to forget about that..

If that's true, explain his love for Ginobili's game. Tonight he also said that Nocioni has been the best player on the floor in the Miami-Chicago series, you must've missed that.

Geez cut Chuck some slack. Barkely was always about physical play and has no respect for soft teams. The Kings of old WERE soft. Chuck said they would never wina championship and well they never did. Now he sees a tough team and he likes it. The guy has been consistant 100% here. You may think he is a horses rear but he is at least up front about who he is and I have to respect that.

Barkley criticizied the Kings as being a soft team and that was true, eventhough whateve he said was outrageous. Now he sees a physical team which he seems to like. I don't think there is any kind of discrimination in it.
