Back injury knocks out Gortat; Seraphin steps in (Comcast SportsNet Mid Atlantic)

John Wall now is the only Wizards player to have not missed a game this season after Marcin Gortat, who had started 66 of 67 played, was ruled out because of a lower back strain for Thursday night's game at the Portland Trail Blazers. Kevin Seraphin, who hasn't played much since swelling in his right knee forced him to miss seven games, will start in Gortat's place. He has had an up-and-down season with averages of 5.4 points and 2.7 rebounds per game. Seraphin has made one appearance since a recurring knee injury knocked him out after Feb. 23 when he had six points and six rebounds for a win at the Cleveland Cavaliers.
