Brad is always one of the toughest, a lot of what I like to call "Bradisms" that I just can't figure out.

(Cuttino's is in the "Cuttino transcript" thread)
Mike: What I hear from Cuttino talking about the officials is kind of what I see from you and some of the other players on the court. Is the frustration coming the officials and maybe as a perceived wrongs that have gone against you or is there something else that is kind of gnawing at you guys?
Brad: Its just tough when you are playing so hard and you know it seems like as a whole its been tough on everybody. Not getting the same type of calls and respect that seems like with other teams, but you know I guess we just have to remember its part of it. We’ve all been around long enough to realize at the end of the day, what goes around comes around concept that they go with.
Mike: When Cuttino talked about the officials and made his comments known, our producer said you are probably going to be fined for this. And he said I don’t care. I feels as thought I need to protect my teammates….What do you think about a guy who is willing to pay the fine to defend you and the rest of the guys on the team?
Brad: Well you know, if one of us have to do it, who knows how many of us have to do it. But you know its frustrating when it seems like its not always about what you do on the court, it always seems like there is something. And I understand, I would never want to be a ref. I tried it once when I was young for a summer league and I had a hard time with it. So you know I think they just need to figure out something to help these guys out. Give us a couple of yellow flags, you know three yellow flags in football or something. I mean they need to figure out something because the guys are so athletic, so fast, jump so high, shoot so good, you know do dirty things so good, its hard for these thee guys to pick it up.
Dave: As a player how much time to do spend being pissed at that call and how much time do you do spend looking at some of the other things you could have done to win the ball game?
Brad: I think I was just upset the whole way home and then once I get home its just [inaudible, some Bradism that I can’t understand

]…if I wasn’t so white I could jump all the time. If I could have been able to dunk that one lay-up instead of missing it. But I have a problem when my white legs go out rarely every now and then on me, so I mean if you don’t make that then we don’t have to worry about it
Mike: If there is one positive we can get from this…At the end of the game, the call aside, when I look at Suns I think you guys can hang with them. I think you guys can beat them in a series and I thought their aura of invincibility was taken away even in the loss
Brad: I don’t think anyone on our team looks at PHX as invincible at all. We did beat them earlier down there and we should have won that game yesterday everything aside no matter what, but the way they play, none one them, Steve’s been in the playoffs, Jimmy and McCarty just the guys they added and the only ones with real PO experience. I think we know how the game is different and you know I’d like to see them avg. 119 pts in the playoffs. I don’t know what the record is for most pts avg, but I know its probably not quite that high.
Mike: Do you think you guys could have maintained the way you controlled the 1st q a little longer?
Brad: I think we just have make sure we don’t get caught up in it. Playoffs, like I said is a whole ‘nother story. The way you go out and approach it. Every possession means a lot more. So, when they start getting you know a couple of quick shots for us when we know we got to slow it down and make sure we get a good shot and that’s part of later on in the season how it goes.
Dave: Can things like this also unify a locker into an us against the world thing?
Brad: I think we’ve had for a while already. [More inaudible Bradisms]…its always like 8 against 5, home or away. Lets go out and do it. I think people they just look at the Kings jump shooting. They don’t think anybody ever drives to the hole or ever gets fouled. And they’re like they are not good defensively and assume that when something goes on its got to be a foul or if they miss a shot coming to the hole [?]. It just perceptions than worried about what’s going on in that point in that game right then
Mike: Lets talk about the All-Star game…a lot of people outside of Sacramento talk about the Kings getting snubbed…and the guy they talk a lot about is Chris Webber. Two straight triple doubles for Chris. When the season started, did you in you mind envision he could play that well this season coming off the injury?
Brad: Well I assumed that he was going to be playing-I really didn’t get to see him at full strength to be able to understand how good of a player he was before the injury, but you know I see a lot of the signs not and realize this guys out there not at 100% but what he can do out there is amazing to see. And when he gets going, starts passing the ball it makes him even tougher to guard.
Mike: Does it bother you? Does it bother Mike, does it bother Chris? (not being selected)
Brad: It doesn’t bother me, because I was kind of surprised that they got me two years in a row, but you know I think, it was kind of surprising to see. Mike is a guy that they talk about one great year, but he keeps having great years and it seem like hes the guy for the last 3 4 years well we don’t have another guard spot or some other guys to take. You know they look at record, they take 3 off of PHX, but we got the 5th best in the L and get no body. Take a couple off of Washington because the East is different than the West, but they’re winning games. It just seems like you need to reward somebody, Webb or Mike especially on this team. Mike’s been playing every game, he’s been out there through it all.
Dave: …I was under the impression that you were just trying t give your headband away to a luck fan, other than fine is there anything you can tells us about that conversation and/or is a suspension possibly looming for doing that.
Brad: Oh who knows. You never know what’s goes on with the L until they figure out what they are going to do or how they are feeling that day. So, you don’t know what to expect and you have to wait to tomorrow and see what they have for you,
Mike: You’ve got two tough games coming up…do you approach that differently?
Brad: Well, I play hard every game so I stick with-I pretty much do the same routine. You still have to get ready to go and can’t be so much worried, I mean you go to think about who you are playing, but you just got to make sure you yourself and your teammates are ready to go each night no matter who you are playing.
Mike: Well, Brad I’m sorry for as you put it the whiteness in your legs, there’s nothing I can about that pal.
Brad: I can’t either.
