Article on Sac State's football program

I don't know if anyone here on these boards follows the local college football scene (Sac State or UC Davis), but there's a great recent article in the local weekly paper called The Sacramento News & Review that outlines all the basic problems of why the Hornets are such an awful program.

I've often wondered if Sac State would be better off if they eliminated their football program. And let UC Davis keep their Causeway Cup prize, or whatever it is they call it.

Don't we technically already "own it" I mean shoot, the few years that CSUS beat us I considered us loaning it out for a change of scenery.

Hornets should shut down the football program and put all their efforts into basketball. They've had one, maybe two, decent football teams in the last 30 years.
