How do we do this you say?

First we complete the trade with denver for their 14th in exchange for taking on faried.

Next, we use our jumber 2 pick to trade back with dallas at 5 or orlando at 6 depending where MPJ would be going. In the trade back we get either dallas or orlandos pick fr 2019.
We select mpj at 5 or 6.
Then we pacakge the 14th and the 1st from next year plus WCS and trade with Chicago for the 7th and we aelect Bamba.

Fox
Bogs/hield
MPJ/hield
Giles
Bamba

So basically #2 + WCS and we end up with Bamba and Porter Jr?

I can dig it. In fact, that would be an Ainge-like coup if both guys live up to their potential!

Of course, I'm kinda low on WCS and can't make up my dang mind about who to draft at 2, so of course I like this trade.

Jesus Christ guys. You saw how much trouble we had playing a bunch of rookies last year. Why the hell would you want to do that again?

I didnt mind watching the young guys olay. In fact i enjoyed it a lot. It was watching zbo hill temple and koufus playvthat i found annoying to boring

Naw, I don't like Porter so it's an obvious no for me. If you substitute either Miles or Mikal Bridges, maybe. I don't see why Denver gives up a lottery pick on a salary dump but maybe there's a rumor I missed? If you can get all these trades to happen I wouldn't hate it since you're more or less creating a second top 10 pick out of thin air but my general feeling is similar to Tetsujin's on all the young players. We already had too many mouths to feed which is why we cast off Papagiannis and Malachi at the trade deadline. I'd rather get one elite player here and start focusing on building around them instead of constructing the all-upside fantasy team which will inevitably sputter and spin out of control as they all go through their growing pains at the same time. What always seems to happen in those situations when a team stockpiles a ton of picks at once is that players get traded or cut or sign big contracts elsewhere and even if you guessed right on all these players, half of them are now excelling on other teams (like the Orlando diaspora of JJ Reddick, Ryan Anderson, Tobias Harris, Victor Oladipo, Moe Harkless, DeWayne Dedmon, and perhaps soon to be Aaron Gordon and Mario Hezonja).

Think the idea here is they're trying to stay under the luxury tax with the looming max extension to Jokic and wanting to bring Barton back, so they rumor is they're dangling #14 with for someone to take on Faried. Which is a deal we should 100% be on.

We also have Giles about to crack the rotation!

I get where you're coming from (part of the reason I like Luka is that he's more seasoned than your average 19 year old), but we'd (theoretically) be getting an upgrade at the 3 with MPJ over JJ and Bamba is a project, so he'd probably come off the bench.

I don't think adding one more high upside rookie to the mix is that big a deal when we're still at least two years away from being, if all breaks right, a playoff team. Rebuilds take time, and lest we forget, this one barely started two trade deadlines ago.

Seems like a Vlade move too!

Dunno if the other teams would bite though. But I enjoy having these discussions. Much more entertaining than Carter vs Knox or whatever the heck we'd talk about if we stayed at 7!
