Anyone know who we're playing on Opening-night?

Grant mentioned today that the Kings would begin their season with three straight road games and their home opener would be against the Timberwolves.

Oh no. PLEASE tell me it's not going to be the Texas triangle.

Why would we open our season against the T-Wolves? and VF i have the same fear you do god i hope it's not the texas triangle.

Nvm, it seems like the Kings would start the season on the road it looks like the team has to get going quicky cause the schedule seems tough and we need to give ourselfs a chance to grab a good seed.

Hmmmm. My spidey sense is starting to tingle. You've been here before, haven't you Joker?

Am I going to have to guess who you were in your previous incarnation?

Texas triangle would be interesting, but hard anyway you look at it. Houston are gonna be good again.

Be quite fun if we met right off the bat against the Spurs. ;)

When was the last time we opened at home? I can't remember. I remember one year we started like 3 or 4 games on the road and they were all the other teams home opener.

Last time we opened at home, and of course was against Cleveland in 03-04. Thankfully we won, and weren't destroyed by LeBron. Though did have a great game. ;)

I think we'll play against the spurs. It seems like the NBA usually makes some teams play against whoever they played in last year's playoffs. I remember Denver did last year.

didnt we start the season with the texas triangle for like the past 3 seasons

Only did in 04-05. Last year we started at OKC, with the debut of the Hornets there at that crazy house. Got smashed 95-67 or something. That was a fantastic game, BTW. :p

The Spurs are playing the Mavs on the opener from what i heard.

Kings 113, why do you like correcting ppl non-stop? what's with you?

Last year we started @ OKC, but only because our schedule was changed after (the schedule) was released. We still had to play basically our first three games on the road against good teams two of which were from the triangle.

That seems odd to me, not the facts you pointed out what I am scratchn my head at is that its been 3 years without our first game being at home.

this year was particularly painful since the first home game was against detroit, and someone had the bright idea to run a detroit shambles video montage.

November and December has a ton of home games and I think we head to Utah once and then Dallas and SA on a back to back but other than that it's loaded with home games. Can't wait to see January and February. Actually just looking at it quickly it doesn't seem to bad. I calculated 3 4 game road trips and one 5 game road trip and that's it.

thank lord, biggest road trip is 5 games. this seems doable so long as the team puts in effort and tries to remain competitive.

They finally have it updated at kings.com. Overall a pretty balanced schedule between home and road games each month.
