Anyone Else Just Feel the Earthquake?

Guess it was a 5.7 centered in the hills.......I live in an apartment and felt the apartment swaying here just outside of Rancho Cordova..First time I've felt a quake since the big one in San Francisco...

haha yea, good day for the quake to happen the same day we have a kings rally. Glad there were no injuries.... I talked to 30 people so far and all 30 of them felt it..... They were looking at me like, "of course I felt it, who DIDN'T feel it"..... I guess it was that strong....

It was centered around Susanville and felt reportedly all the way through Stockton. I felt it. My dog was going crazy haha. This is probably better suited for the Lounge though :)

Sorry about that, I didn't realize there was a "lounge" area as I never posted there. So yes, can a moderator please move this thread to the lounge. thanks!!!

Honestly, when I first felt it, I had been drinking so I thought maybe I should stop....I thought it was my drinking and not an actual earthquake at first...

Believe it or not, I was at the rally and didn't feel it. A bunch of other people there with me said they didn't feel it either. Guess we were so wrapped up in the noise and the crowd, the epicenter would've had to be under our feet for us to feel it. :p

It was fairly strong up here. Luckily, it was more of a rolling quake than a shaking quake so I didn't lose any pictures off the wall, knic-knacs off the shelves, or anything else. My two cats started to react about 10 seconds before I felt it. Only the third big quake I've felt in the past 30 or so years.

Ha! I have two beautiful cats. One is high strung and the other would have to be hit over the head before it moved. I personally did not notice the earthquake but my wife, seated close to me, did. She described it as rolling or in similar words. I didn't see the female cat for an hour. The male cat laid on my lap and didn't even open his eyes. What on earth determines a person's ability or inability to feel an earthquake? I have lived in Sact since 1977 and have never felt an earthquake. We've had a lot of quakes felt by people in the area in that time. I think that's odd.
