i just saw it on kcra that don nelson is going to step down as coach for 8 games this season so that averey johnson could get a hang of coaching a team after nellie retires. the first game of this is supposed to happen tomarrow.
 
dirk has been playing the last couple of games, i think.. i don't think he's still injured unless he was injured a 2nd time..
 
what a way to start your coaching career. :( Hopefully he did fine and the players just didn't bring it, but still.....eww.
 
Did anyone else find Johnson funny trying to look like a real coach ?

I kinda felt sorry for the guy, but I'm sure he'll turn out fine.
 
Avery is awesome. He made himself a solid NBA career basically out of nothing and ended up being a (vocal) leader of San Antonio. I'm sure he's got a lot to tell to whoever he's coaching.
 
I think that Johnson will turn out to be a better coach than Don Nelson; why do you think that the Mavericks have suddenly figured out how to play something resembling defense?

Kind of a ****ty deal for Nelson to feed him to the Spurs, though; guess he figured, "one less loss on my record..."
