in all honestly i don't think ive ever come in close proximity to a fishing pole, rod?? whatever...not even in a store
im not an outdoorsy type i couldn't imagine just sitting there waiting for a fish to take hold...having to deal with the bugs...ugh...nope not for me
im sure there are plenty fans of fishing on the board though

i fish, i enjoy it. i will even bait my own hook. taught my kids how. my girl wasn't that bad about baiting her hook, boys were at first but they're ok now. i still can't remove the fish off the hook (went pike fishing once, went to remove it and wasn't warned about the teeth) though nor can i eat them(as i am allergic).

i am in sac. don't get to go very often, matter of fact, got my license this year and have been ONCE. i like french meadows(parents used to take me when i was younger)

Southeastern Ohio is a sportsman's paradise' and I take advantage of it any time I can. From the thrill of pulling in the "LUNKER," to the relaxation of just being out there enjoying nature and all of God's Glory.......What's not to enjoy?BigWaxer said:Just curious if anyone likes to fish here? Anyone enjoy some good trout fishing at the lakes in our area in Cali? Heuge? You like fly fishing, I tried to get into it but I get obsesive about fishing and it started costing me a ton of money. Well more the the wife was willing to allow.

I like fishing. But I need new rods.. Mine are old and need maintinence. Last time I went fishing was on Potato Slough. That was 2 years ago. Love to get out soon. I could use some relaxation.

I have caught one fish in my entire life, and this is after trying on many, many occasions.
Caught it when I was in Australia, I don't know what it was about my bait, but somehow this time it looked more appetizing than prior hooks.
The fish I ended up catching was about 4 inches long... but I caught it, so I can scratch that thing off my life's accomplishment list and never look back at fishing again!
