is there anyway the lakers would give up bynum and some throwins to get artest? The lakers would be deadly with artest.. phil jackson knows how to work with players with artest like attitudes (rodman).

why the lakers would trade for artest:
this lineup:
Smush
Kobe
Artest
lamar
kwame/mihm

this would make the lakers legit title contenders this year.. this lineup would be deadly. sure the lakers loose bynum but they would get a chance to pair artest and kobe together and i feel phil would know how to deal with this. Its almost like jordan/rodman

why the kings would do it:
they would have a young promising center in bynum. I would love to have a "baby shaq" on the kings!

next question:

the lakers might want to do it because they would get what used to be a top 10-20 player in the league. artest can get back to being a great player under phil (i believe). bynum is young and will not make a big impact until later in his career if he does live up to his potential. this means most likely when kobe is declining as a player. with artest they would be able to contend in the immediate future. why would the lakers not want to do this?

What you've just done is answer your own question on why the Lakers aren't going to give him up. Ron Artest has stated publicly more than once that he thinks he's as good as Kobe Bryant. The last thing you want to do is put him on the same team as Kobe.

Sorry, but as a Kings fan you're trying way too hard to justify something that just won't happen.

Phil would be able to make artest and kobe coexist.. i dont feel there would be a problem with them working together. they both share the same desire to WIN unlike a lot of other kings players who just seem lost out there. sure artest is to put it nicely crazy, with the right coaching he could make a huge impace
 
Look, the answer is no. They have already stated (or implied) that, in effect, they hope to have their center of the future developing now.

Why the heck would they trade what seems to be a good developing big for Artest? With the Kings, of all teams?

Just, no. It ain't happening. It's like saying you want to trade Bibby and filler for Kobe.

There is NO way you can make your first statement with any kind of credibility.

Here's another reason the Lakers won't do it: They're in the middle of rebuilding. They're bringing young talent up and getting them ready for bigger successes in the future. There is NO way (as in none) that the Lakers would make a move like this.

It's not about them winning this year, especially if it means forfeiting one of the young players they're investing in.

Sorry, BALLER4LIFE, but it's NOT gonna happen. I can't believe I'm gonna say this but the Laker front office is smarter than that.

maybe the kings can work out a three way with the clips that brings in a big.. we just NEED a young promising big man!
