Amick Says Rubio's buyout situation is "almost resolved"

This probably improves his trade value, which could make Memphis or OKC more willing to take him in order to trade him. Good to see (at least for me) that he'll be able to play in the SPL.

And OKC is about to give up on their great young PG Westbrook to take Ricky?? Same goes for Memphis and Conley.

Edit: I don't think either team would even pick to leverage for a trade with us. Doesn't make sense really.

I agree. Unless you already had a deal worked out in advance it would be too much of a gamble. I believe that if one of those teams were to make a trade it would be with another team and not the Kings. I think the Kings would love to have Rubio, but could be just as happy with either Flynn or Evans. So I could see a team like the Knicks or perhaps the Bucks trying to move up to grab him. Maybe even the Timberwolves, who have multiple draft picks to deal with.

I wouldn't discount Washington in all this.

Yeah, Washington and Minny are probably our biggest competition for Rubio. NY doesn't really have what it takes.

I think the Wolves are probably the only ones in play for trading up IMO...the Wiz already are on the hook at PG with Arenas, unless they can find someone to unload his bloated contract, and I'm not sure any of the teams that have a high enough pick to get Rubio before us would want anything the Knicks have in return...and David Lee won't fetch that kind of bounty.

I meant as far as assets go and have shown interest in Rubio. Maybe the Warriors as well (although Randolph might have to be the chip there, and that's a tough piece to give up.) Yeah, the Knicks are not players for Rubio as much as they'd like to believe they are.

I dont know how some of you feel, but if this thing becomes some type of bidding war for rubio then i want no part of it. If he doesnt fall to us then i dont want to have to trade pieces to get him.

I thought the more noteworthy info of this article was that apparently the Kings have deemed no one, not even Martin, untouchable in any trade scenarios that may evolve. I haven't heard that Martin was available before.

Most teams will say that no one is untouchable, and no one should be. Unless you have LeBron James or Kobe, there really is no good reason to make a player untouchable under any and all circumstances.

I agree that you agree. I just want to know who these other teams could be that would trade up?

Don't you think that Arenas contract is kind of like the Webber contract was? That contract seems like it would be incredibly hard to move.
