My gut says this won’t get done until the deadline at the earliest. That’s 3 good teams then a home-and-road back-to-back in Portland. We could def be looking at a long losing slide right out of the playoffs again, altho standings seem totally irrelevant right now.

Might be best to check out on the team until news breaks.

Not necessarily. The Kings need to give the lineup that started this recent run a longer look. The stats back up that Monk + one of the Kings defenders next to him has serious potential. Getting picks allows Monte time to then make another major move if it can't be done in one go during a Fox trade.

As I posted a couple of days ago, the Sabonis-Murray-DeRozan-Ellis-Monk lineup is +2.8 with a Net Rating of 22.7 and TS% of 60.8 as of today. All excellent numbers. They just need a stronger bench.
