I think I’d be fine with that return if we also got that pick swap back. Not a huge number of picks but the ones we do get are probably worth more than any of the ones from the Spurs themselves.
I mean, in the end this might be kinda what the deal looks like. The ATL picks are pretty valuable, and probably a lot more valuable than any Spurs picks in the next five years. The CHI pick is already protected 1-10 with protections going forward 2 more years, so that's not an additional protection being put on it. So that's three picks and Castle.
Obviously, I'd like a lot more. I want Sochan. I want MIN 31. I want our swap back. I want CHA 25 (which is probably going to revert to 2 SRPs, but still, we need SRPs since Monte deals them like they're hot potatoes). I want additional swap options.
I don't think we can get *all* of that. We may be able to get *some* of that. But as long as we get Castle and the ATL picks, we're not all too likely to find a better deal elsewhere, not with the league believing Fox wants to jump to SA eventually anyway. So that's a decent guess at close to what it looks like if a SA trade goes down.
One thing about the ATL 25 and 27 and another 25 would be that these are theoretically worth more than a pick years and years away. Either to trade or so we can build on what we have with a pick better than we'd otherwise get.
To me I settle for 3 picks if we can have Sochan and Castle. No Castle the ask goes to 5+. No Sochan but Castle, then we need one more so we can do a Cam and Sharpe deal with Nets.

i hope we get the deal done soon and then trade for Ingram or Cam I’d like to punch for the playoffs this year I don’t care if we get swept by okc. With the right pieces we can challenge houston who really doesn’t have a 1A or Memphis.

I think we need to be a bit careful assuming every thing he says is 100 percent the truth. He’s all over the place with his insider info. Klutch insider, front office insider, Owner insider. I dunno. I personally think his maybe source is Chris Haynes and that would mostly be Klutch related stuff.

If he played for the Charlotte hornets, i think people would speak about him a bit differently. Maybe im wrong but proximity to Wemby seems to be the reason his stock his higher than it should be - which may also explain why Fox wants to be there so badly.
We knew that. Vivek hired Malone and was a fan before he hired the little gerbil who never liked him. That's a big part of what has hamstrung this organization until Monte was finally allowed a seat at the table when Mike was hired. GMs not getting their first choice of coach. And then GMs hiring worse coaches lol.

For sure. The sucky thing about it is, i really used to enjoy Monte’s apparent laid back nature and ability to keep things from leaking. Now idk what the hell is going on and who the culprits are

Really think Recee talked to DLo and unwittingly opened up a storm. Or maybe it was on purpose. Then Paul got involved for damage control bur Recee can't stay off social for whatever reason.
Paul was really managing Fox PR and it appears that Fox was going to drop a trade me bomb this offseason.

the idea of Monte leaking makes no sense to me. He basically says nothing in interviews, even in long form. Maybe it’s Wes, I couldn’t even tell you what he looks like and I’ve never heard him speak. Or maybe it’s some gossiping part owner that likes telling people insider info. Or maybe half of it is not true? Or most of it?

There is a site called "LeBron Wire," which I always assumed was linked to him, or they would not have used his name. It's pretty good with fairly unbiased reporting so far as I remember.

People were pretty convinced Mastrov was the one who was leaking stuff to the media all the time. There’s also a local minority owner who was rather notorious for having a loose mouth but I don’t remember if he sold his shares to Vivek or not.

I'd take this if it were clearly the BEST offer on the table. I don't really like the fact that the Chicago pick is not guaranteed, though.
Wagner is a stud.But that's a huge haulduh.
also Franz is great but Keegan, Carter and three of our own picks? Maybe if we had made a WCF appearance and we saw that as pushing us over. Not when we are a play in team.
