So Fox wants max money and to go somewhere where he won't have to do the heavy lifting a max player needs to is what I'm getting from the request. It seems it's not even about money the guy does not want to be a #1 option imo he wants that Jamal Murray role where he can chill until the playoffs but still get payed like he's doing it all regular season.

TBH, I don’t give a crap where Fox’s preferred destination team is at this point. The Kings need to take the Best deal on the table and send Fox there.
Fox and Klutch are not doing the Kings any favors and we shouldn’t do them any either. If Klutch tries to blow up any potential better deal for the Kings, let them leave in free agency and Fox will lose $80 million in guaranteed contract money.

Herro may be a good scoring guard to replace Fox, but I'm not sure Miami would see Fox as that big of an upgrade to Herro. They may be looking to add Fox to Herro in the back court, if they are in a win now mode. However, I would be open to a Ware/JJJ/Jovic and 3-4 first round picks type of trade. Even if we move Fox, we are still pretty set with a 3 man guard rotation of Monk/Ellis/Carter.
TBH, I would prefer to send Fox to the Eastern Conference, if we can't get the young forwards (Thompson and/or Smith) and multiple 1st round picks from Houston.

Granted I don't follow much of the rest of the NBA but I've never heard of Steph Castle. The fact that the Spurs are saying he's off limits for one of the top 5 pgs in the league is nutso to me.
Fox has forever ruined his reputation in Sacramento with these antics. His number will never hang in the rafters. He's barely a top 5 player in the Sacramento era.
Recall that Peja was FOURTH in MVP voting when he was the #1 guy.

I like Fox and I’m not convinced he truly wants to leave. Not like this anyway. He has friends on the team that I don’t think he would want to intentionally screw over.
I get that sense that the way this is going down has more to do with the people around him.
Either way, I’m ready to see a lineup of:

Ellis
DDR
Murray
Sabonis
Keon and Keegan need to play as many minutes together as possible. That’s when we looks our best.
Hopefully it brings in some talent at the 4 and 5 so we have a serviceable bench that doesn’t actively dig us into holes and frees up more PT for Carter with one less G in the rotation.
This could still end up good for us but I worry we will be severely disappointed by what we get in return for Fox at this point.

to me there are levels of stars. For instance, I always thought Peja was a star and Webber was a superstar. Then you had Shaq and Kobe who were uberstars. Fox, imo, is a star and nothing more. Nothing wrong with that, but he’s no superstar

The Pels showed there is a way to accomplish both when they moved AD for half the Lakers roster and all their picks up to pretty much this season.

If Fox really would like to clear things up, satisfy his friends, and show good will, then he would sign an extension with the Kings right now (if they would have him).
However, enough damage has been done that it may be futile for him to try to gain back his good graces with the team.
