He just wants to be wanted.Fox “just wants to win” and we win 11 of our last 14, only to likely trade him before we move Huerter?? I just don’t get this crap
But would he leave 77 million on the table to get where he wantsYeah Fox really ***** us by basically leaking he wants to be a Spur in '26 no matter what.
We can't really compare Fox's value to what players like Bridges brought in because of this.
Unless Monte lucks out and we get at least two delusional non-Spurs GM's thinking they can "sell Fox on staying"..... THEN it gets interesting.
Either way, I'll be rooting for Fox to fail and fall off wherever he ends up!
Not bad, it's awful.
He just wants to be wanted.
The moment He brought in Klutch sports its like saying I am bigger than the team. I really was a huge fan, but the klutch thing doesn't exactly say all for one and one for all.Dude just demanded a trade
When a guy request a trade to a certain team, you are not in a good spot.I don’t get why it would be embarrassing. We traded one of them for an All-NBA center, the most important guy on the roster (yes, way more than Fox himself), then the other one went full Klutch and will likely return a decent return.
This isn’t KINGS GONNA KINGS. We’re in a great spot here.

I really do like Fox but Kings are set up to get better from this as long as they hold steady.Or you are if you drafted right, signed right, and have replacements ready to go. The universe speaks in mysterious ways. Not that Monte and the Kings haven't been doing work, they have.
Spurs
Fox
McLaughlin
Kings
Castle
Vassell
2025 Atlanta's first-round pick (unprotected, guaranteed to convey)
2025 Spurs own first-round pick
2026 Atlanta's first-round pick (the Spurs can swap their pick with Atlanta's)
2027 Spurs own first-round pick
2027 Atlanta's first-round pick (unprotected, guaranteed to convey)
2028 Boston's first-round pick (top-1 protected; the Spurs reserve the right to swap their pick with Boston's)
2030 Better of Minnesota's first-round pick (top-1 protected; the Spurs reserve the right to swap their pick with Minnesota's) or -Dallas' first-round pick (unprotected, guaranteed to convey)
2031 Remove Sacramento's first-round pick (the Spurs reserve the right to swap their pick with Sacramento's)
2031 Minnesota's first-round pick (unprotected, guaranteed to convey)
So 6 FRP and pick swaps
Let's say we were able to get Sochan, Castle and 3 picks. We also have to take some money back. And I would want more picks, but let's just say the number is 3 here.Just some random thoughts
Loved watching the Fox-less team of Monk, Sabonis, Keegan, Deebo, and Keon run the team in his absence. Would that be sustainable with Fox gone?
As good as Fox was before Sabonis arrived, he never got us close to being in the playoffs.
Recee_fox’s post of “go baby go” on X is not there anymore. Was it ever? If so when was that posted?
I Expect at the very least, reasonable compensation for a Fox trade…otherwise Monte is toast. Here is an opportunity for him to earn his keep and maybe surprise us all.
I believe that Fox is gone baby gone. It doesnt have to be the end.
As good as Fox is, I never liked his attitude with the media and he is NOT a superstar
Kobe and Michael never took nights off
Monte had to know this was coming.
When you lose your best player on a team of win now players you are in trouble.Or you are if you drafted right, signed right, and have replacements ready to go. The universe speaks in mysterious ways. Not that Monte and the Kings haven't been doing work, they have.
Pop is away from the team recovering from a stroke right now so who knows if he’s even aware MB was fired.Salivating over that. Hopefully Pop doesn’t take the MB firing personal and be stubborn bc it seems like they were a decent trading partner before
It's a reference to a quotw from a past Kings player.Dude just demanded a trade
Recee’s comment was on instagram i believe, and no i don’t think any of that without Fox is sustainable - though I’m not really in love with the version of this team that has Fox and still has these slow, sluggish starts to damn near every game.Just some random thoughts

Today is Pop's B-day btw.Salivating over that. Hopefully Pop doesn’t take the MB firing personal and be stubborn bc it seems like they were a decent trading partner before
Especially if you get at least one of the Hawk picks from the Spurs in a Fox deal.Nope, not unless you are a legit contender. Look, the fact that Monte got the team to the playoffs in a Fox window is unreal. If you've watched a lot of BBall, it's super rare considering the history and timelines. Monte either got lucky or was super duper smart in some ways. Likely both. Now? This might not be a 5 year window back to being even competitive because he didn't bend any further. This is up to Monte and Vivek now.
Who is "win now" on this roster besides DeMar?When you lose your best player on a team of win now players you are in trouble.
There is nobody on SAS that I want.
