Alexis Ajinca

MANoICE

G-League
RealGM says Dallas is looking to move him so they can sign Peja after he clears Toronto's waivers. Perhaps we could offer the milwaukee 2nd rounder and $3 mil. for him and Dallas' 1st rounder (Late 20's.) He makes around $1.5 mil. and comes off the books at the end of the year. He is a good shot blocker and would be much younger/cheaper to resign than Dally. No real risk other than $$.

Thoughts?

It sounds as if he might be going back to Toronto. He'd be a lot cheaper to resign than Dalembert, but I don't see a lot of upside there. Think of it this way, would you rather develop Whiteside or Ajinca? Because I don't think we can develop both.

I was under the impression that the goal is to develop Whiteside as a PF. Perhaps I am mistaken. I thought with his athleticism that would be a better fit for him. Even if not, perhaps this would still be a good move for us. First, we are swapping the Milwaukee second rounder for a late first rounder. Second, since we would have Ajinca's bird rights, we could at least work a sign and trade deal for a starting PF/SF (depending on what we draft with our top pick) for him in the offseason. After the lockout, of course.

I'm not oppossed to picking him up, but there's no way in hell the Kings are going to throw in an additional 3 mil for the guy. From what it appears, the Kings are trying to aquire money in deals, not give it away.

on another note, i heard mark cuban's dog is available for acquisition.. maybe a future 2nd, cash considerations and slamson?
