that article is way off... adelman is paid in the lower half of coaches salary... i beleive in the $2 mil range...

He's at about 2.5. His option for next year is about 3 million that the Kings picked up.

Hmm... if you look at the owners' worths, it has each of the two Maloof brothers at 100 million. I thought the Kings had billionaire owners?

In the eyes of R.E. Graswich they are "billionaire owners" but it's pretty tough to make a billion dollars unless you sucker some big company into overpaying for your product.....see Cuban.

I know... R.E. Graswich, and Marcos Breton, and several other Bee writers. The USA today article could be wrong about the Maloofs, too, but I have a feeling the Bee writers just like to call them billionaires because they are related to a lot of multi-millionaires.

There are ALOT of maloofs. THe article has Gavin's and Joe's worth separated.

When you add up enough of those individual $100 millions, eventually you start talking about some real money.

;)

Did they take a loan for the Team and for their Casinos on top of other properties? Cause I'm pretty sure an NBA isn't that cheap.

The Maloofs as a family might be approaching billionaires (seem to recall it being less actually), but individually, to whatever degree you can separate them out, I suspose not. No idea how the stock/control/inheritance issues are structured.

Whether he makes the most or not... IMO he deserves to be at the top of the board in coaching salaries. I dont care if he is up there right now but he sure as hell deserves it after what he has brought and delievered to the fans in Sacramento as well as the world. Good Job RA!
