Don't want to get all conspiracy theoristy in here but the former Mariner buying a team feels a little like a repeat of the Seattle-Kings saga.

He didn't exactly show any loyalty to Seattle. Not that it's his fault the Rangers offered stupid money, but then when he went to the Yankees he pretty much defined guy in it for himself.
