A few ideas of mine...

Showtime

Starter
Ok, Miami holds a lot of cards in this draft. Not only do they have the #2, but they also have Marion's expiring 17 mil deal.

Here's an idea:

Miami trades Marion to Sacramento for Ron Artest and Brad Miller.

Why:

From the heat standpoint, they get a premiere perimeter defender in Artest (Pat is high on him), and the best passing center in the game who is a good shooter that can spread the floor for Wade. Even if Ron leaves town after the season, they still have that salary off the books plus a solid center that they need because Blount isn't going to cut it.

That leaves them the #2 pick, which many consider Beasley to be it. Some people even have the heat picking OJ Mayo for a point guard.

Their team could look like this:

pg?
Wade
Artest
Beasley
Miller

or

OJ
Wade
Artest
Haslem
Miller

Why do the kings do this deal? Well, they get Marion's play for a year which would be interesting in a smaller lineup, and he comes off the books sooner than Miller's deal. With Miller gone, Hawes can develop more too.

Beno?
Martin
Marion
Moore
Hawes

more athletic, faster lineup:

Beno?
Martin
Salmons
Marion
Moore/Hawes

My other idea is a bit more complicated:

Miami trades: Marion to Sac

they get: Odom + Douby

Sac trades: Artest and KT to LA, Douby to Miami

they get: Marion

LA trades: Odom

they get: Artest + KT

LA gets the tough defender they need, and have to take KT's contract.

Miami gets a perimeter player who they need, and Odom returns to Miami.

Kings trade away KT, Ron, and Douby and get cap relief and an all-star for a year. I don't see a future for Douby here, KT is a waste, and Ron isn't going to stay after next season anyway, so Sac gets something.

PASS imagine how unhappy he would be in sac if he was upset while playing for the run and gun suns. Plus 17 mil no way.

Uh, the salary is offset because Artest and Miller would be gone, plus Marion comes off the books after the season, whereas Miller's big contract doesn't.

You misunderstood me, what I am saying is its better to have Ron and Miller than just Marion. Miller as well as the rest of the squad except Kevin and Salmons will be off the books in 2010 so patience is in order here.
