It seems to me the Kings are going to make another blockbuster deal, and it's going to involve Brad Miller. My gut feeling is that the Maloofs are thinking, "we have one half of a possible dynamic duo (Artest), let's get the other half." Magic had Kareem, Jordan had Pippen, Shaq had Kobe and Wade, Duncan has Ginobili, and so on. Two superstars can put you in position to win a championship. Will it be KG? T-Mac? Who knows. With the center position not as dominant as it once was with a few exceptions, the Kings could probably get away with not having an all-star center. The Spurs haven't had one since David Robinson, and they're always in the mix. Dallas sure as hell doesn't have a big-name center. Neither does Phoenix. If Sacramento can get KG or T-Mac for Miller/Corliss/Thomas/1st round pick, and sign a serviceable man in the middle (Jackie Butler), then I think we'd be good to go. I just think the braintrust is going with a "how can we get another superstar on this team?" The inexpensive backup PG piece is already in place (Hart or Douby), so that's why I don't think there's going to be any movement at that position. All the money available is going to go to a big name and his contract IMHO.
