Anyone complaining in Philly should get smacked...matter of fact, Rick James will crawl outta his grave and ask WHAT THE FIVE FINGERS SAY TO THE FACE?!!

As a Kings and Sixers fan..Sixers made out BIG TIME! This Petrie guy must not have all his marbles after making a deal like that. Not talking down on Kenny, Corliss and Skinner because they are all good players..but..like I said Sixers got all its worth and more. I just hope it all works out for both teams. Go Kings! Go Sixers! Go Webber!

Why wouldn't they be happy?

They finally got that superstar quality person along with AI.

Just hope that Chris is happy, that's all I really want for him.

Sixer fans are happy because they just entered the honeymoon period. Once that's over they will come to realize that now they have two ballhogs to deal with. Just imagine with both Webber and Iverson trying to be "the man" . You will have one going 10-30 (iverson) while you have the other go 4-19.... Obviously Webb will have great games when he will shoot 50%, but he will be a liability on defense....

Iverson was hoping for a big man....well he got one....a jump shooter. Man, it's gonna be tough for chris in philly, they will give him a break for a while.....but if he keeps on %^%%^# up he will hear the boos. I mean its philly....where even a santa clause gets booed  :D

i really think that AI and Chris will end up working well together..it'll take some time but...

Chris isn't in the Kings system of offense anymore he's in the sixers and AI will always be there bread and butter

i for one can't wait to see how this plays out for philly

28 pages of sixer fans' posts. I don't think the previous board linked had enough people to truly appreciate the gravity of the trade. All these guys keep saying is they can't believe they didn't lose anyone that they actually wanted to keep (iggy, dalembert, korver...).
they should love this trade. they improved....A LOT, and at the expense of no player that wasnt trade fodder to begin with.

Yeah, and posters from the other teams' sections (raptors, sonics, wizards, rockets, etc... ) keep coming in to congratulate them. I don't think I've ever seen this kind of concensus in such a long thread on a blockbuster. They've renewed their faith in the sixer GM, who some apparently didn't believe could rip anybody off, much less Petrie. They also love the fact that they dumped 80+ million to only get 69 million back ( must be some kind of 15% trade exception thing, whatever ).

On a side note, the houston rocket fans were wondering if the Kings will give up Mike Bibby for their crap since Petrie obviously has lost his mind.

I can't believe some haters on this board have so little perspective that they can't even see the crappiness of this trade objectively. We traded away an All-star and got underperforming bench players in return. Sixers, who struggled to dump these guys individually, managed to clean house in one fell swoop. The only way Petrie can reasonably get rid of any of these guys is by packaging one of our surviving starters. And guess what, if he's planning to do that, it's clearly a rebuild. Some people still think we can contend for a title? Face reality. Getting to the second round will be a longshot.

i wholeheartedly agree with you. i see this as a rebuild. in which case, only two guys will remain, and thats the two guys with the longterm deals: bibby and miller. ya can forget about the rest. peja is the biggest question mark of them all. no way you rely on him at this point to build the franchise around. he may or may not be traded in the near future, but he's not gonna be around when the kings reach elite status again, i predict. but i dont think that will be very soon.

Dude  wait till the summer....Petrie will work his magic, and read my post above, philly is in the honeymoon period....webb will hear the boos in philly mark my words. On the other hand i'm still pissed that we didn't get at least Dalembert which would make this trade really worth it.

the boos dont do anything but fire webb up. kings fans should know that better than anybody else.

Which is the idea... we didn't even get a starter. Even the skeptics on their board say they can't find anything much to nitpick. If Webber suddenly goes out, they're not much worse off than before. They lost virtually nothing.

Webb will dominate in the East. Look through the Power Forwards there. If Sixers make 3rd spot or better in playoffs (pretty much guaranteed), the Sixers fans won't have a reason to boo. Sac fans are jaded enough where making the playoffs isn't a big deal, let alone contending. Also, I don't think they have any special hatred towards Webber like some in Sacramento.
