It sounds like Xfinity has moved NBCSN to a new tier. Doing this with
one whole day of notice is actually a really crappy move by the company, and I'm glad I'm no longer an Xfinity customer. Unfortunately, I don't know what can be done other than complain to Xfinity, which certainly won't help.
I'm not aware that this is an issue with any other provider. One suggestion would be to make the break and go to YouTubeTV - at this point a subscription to YouTubeTV is like $83 a month I think, but that probably beats the hell out of whatever Xfinity is charging for their top tier. At worst, make sure you have the ability to switch to YouTubeTV and call Xfinity to cancel service. If you tell them you're switching they might cut you a deal. But for my part, cable (Xfinity or otherwise) is unlikely to get my money in the near future.
