264 Pts in One Game! Pheonix vs Jazz

High scoring game... every quarter was big... Nash with 18 assits... this is crazy... I rememmber when we were at our best offensively and could do this. :)

i have to say it... Steve Nash is MVP hands down. They are like a freakin machine with him. No way Amare or the other guys get all these opportunities without him. Even tho I don't like nash that much, it would be ABSOLUTE ROBBERY if he doesn't get MVP this year.

Just wait till he goes out again for a few days and the Suns start losing again.

Also, people bag on the Kings D but Phoenix is just as bad and quite possibly worse. They gave up way too many points to a team pretty much without Boozer and Kirilenko(both went out with injuries).

No way the Suns can help up this pace when playoffs come along.

Plus the opponent will tighten up the defense and the Suns will be forced to play half court.

they are worse...no joke.

at least we play defense in spurts...they don't even do that...they are relying on outscoring their opponent at the end of the game...and though thats winning them so regular season games that ain't gonna hold up come playoff time..NOPE not gonna happen

There seems to be alot of wishful thinking in here when It comes to the Suns. With people thinking they can't win in the playoffs because of defense and the games being slowed down.

Suns can play half court basketball If you hadn't noticed, they are just better when they get to run. Why won't this style work in the playoffs? the teams the suns would face wouldn't be playing good defense against them, only team who can in the west is the Spurs who they will likely meet in the conference finals.

Suns defense worse than the Kings? hmm no....the Suns only let teams shoot 44% which isn't bad for a running team. The Kings on the other hand let teams shoot over 45% from the field. People here say they aren't scared of the Suns in a 7 game series..well the Suns and the Kings play the same style of ball but the Suns play it alot better because they are younger and have quicker players who can get up and down the floor with ease. So really I don't see anything but a Suns series win If they met which they likely won't due to the Suns having either the 1st or 2nd seed while the Kings may not even stay in 5th the way they are playing right now.

Have you ever watched a playoff game???

Teams are allowed to be more physical and the game slows down tremendously. For some reason the Kings played horrible defense all year last year and then turned it up in the playoffs and played their best D of the year. The Suns are identical to the Mavs of the last few years. Run, run and run and hope to outscore the other team. This NEVER works in the playoffs because in a 7 game series teams make adjustments and they find ways to beat the other team. Although I'm not a big fan of Adelman he has alot more experience than D'Antoni and McMillan(although he has experience as a player) and has had great success against teams like this in the playoffs. If both teams are healthy in a 7 game series the Kings will beat the Suns.

By the way Ray, love your game :D

Suns can play defense at times just like the Kings. The Suns can get key stops late in games like they have done this season. They can play good defense but their style of play means they likely don't play It all that often. And if you look at the teams they should face only the Spurs are a team that plays good enough defense..everyone else plays it at times, not consistantly. So again defense won't be as big a factor as It has been in the past. The west conference has changed alot over the years and we will see more run and gun style through the playoffs as well as the regular season. You think kings would beat the suns in a7 game series but I just don't see It. They don't do anything better than the Suns and they basically play worse defense. But hey thats why you are a fan.

No, that's why some of us have watched the game for years. The Kings do do something the Suns do not -- they score in the halfcourt. That is the nail in the Suns coffin this postseason. They run, but in the postseason things slow downsnd teams who aren't proficient in the halfcourt inevitably bite the big one.

If you think the Suns don't score in the halfcourt then you don't watch enough of their games. They can score in the halfcourt but their running game is what they do best. I have seen alot of playoff games but the west is changing and there are far more running teams than teams who can play defense.

There is only one team who can beat the suns in a best of 7 series and thats the spurs. They have the defense to do it..no one else does.

its not just about their defense IMO when it comes to the playoffs...i really don't think they have much playoff experience to really contend in the Playoffs...the only one who i think has even been is Steve Nash...and i honestly don't think thats enough...regardless or not of the fact that Steve is the MVP and is what makes this team a good team

if i were suns fan id be more concerned with their lack of experience than their lack of defense

Oh its a lack of everything you need with the Suns -- they are not a good defensive squad, not a good rebounding squad, and contrary to what my young friend thinks, not a particularly good halfcourt offensive squad. Those are the three traits which every just about every title team has had forever now. This Suns squad isn't too much different form the old KJ-led crew -- lots of points, lots of fun, out in Rnd 2. Curious how history repeats itself with certain franchises.

The lack of experience might be a deciding factor if they were at least built to make a serious run, but they're not.
