I'm okay with 'Dre getting MVP trophy. I suppose if 'Bron pushed it to 7th game and then played heroic in loss back in Oakland he might have gotten MVP instead. No doubt he could care less at this point.
It's not the most valuable player of the winning team. His team lost....why would they give it to him? I'm surprised they didn't give it to Curry though.
Surely you must be kidding. Lebrons averages are historic, unprecedented even, carried the Cavs completely, and was the sole focus of the defense. Even with all those odds, he averaged 36-13-8. Remember this Finals year, because you will be much older the next time someone averages that, if ever. His team lost....why would they give it to him? I'm surprised they didn't give it to Curry though.
Back to back finals MVP for the player who's assignment was to Guard LeBron. I'm not a LeBron hater or fan but looking at it objectively he should NOT have won the MVP and hats off to Iggy for rising to the occasion being the veteran who kept the ship steady before Curry got going. It's not the most valuable player of the winning team.
Lebron should have been a no brainer
To that, I'm going to have to respectfully borrow a line from the obituary of the late James Whitlock: if you need the address, you're not invited. If you legit don't understand why some people have disdain for the Warriors, and their small ball system, I don't believe that any explanation exists that you would ever consider to be adequate. You either get it, or you don't.I just don't understand the disdain for the Warriors "Small ball". They put the best five guys on the floor, play defense...nothing gimmicky about them. Who cares if they have a small lineup.

They were the best team in the regular season, beat old school smash mouth Memphis and won the championship fair and square. Congrats to Golden State.

Generalize much? Most of those people don't believe any other system besides smashmouth can win and will make every excuse to back up their claim.
Generalize much?
Speaking just for myself, and nobody else, I detest small ball. I don't give a rat's ass if it can win. The Warriors proving that it can win doesn't prove that "big boy" ball can't win anymore. More to the point, their winning the championship changes my opinion of it not a whit; it's not entertaining basketball to me.
:: shrugs ::I never suggested " big boy" ball can't win...
Guys....we need some 3pt shooting...
Not just because the Warriors won, but because Cleveland has 0 3pt shooters and the Warriors left them wide open knowing they can't make 3's.
If we want to compete next year, Collison and Ben need to become better 3pt shooters.

Can't stand the Warriors. Oh well. The Warriors were the better team. I wonder how the series would have gone if the Cavs had their injured players playing??
Can't wait to see our Kings win a Championship!
:: The rest of us appear to be content to say, "We ****ing hate it," and let it go at that.
...
They didn't run Green at the Center when they played the Grizzlies, lolLike Marc Gasol or Z-BO?
Yea, it means you helped your team win the Championship. Most valuable player of the series.
Does that mean anything??
In other words they played nobody of significance and nobody healthy.
But they were the most talented team in the league, top to bottom, by far. Where we differ is in whether the talent or the style was the important factor. the talent gap being further exasperated by a remarkable string of injuries to opposing teams.
They played it the way they had to play it with their roster, but ti was hardly doing them any favors by the end, and they could hardly have gotten away with it against some of the more complete opponents from the past.
I ought to wash your mouth out with lye.Let's run a lineup of two 6'1 combo guards, a no three nor D wing, a stretch 4 and a cherry picking 5 next year. we can all take bets on when your head explodes.![]()
Ha! Really? How about giving them some credit?
