Some ideas what do you think?

1. Kings hire Mario Elie as head coach, keep brooks and tr dunn, hamm, higher reggie theus as asst.

2. trade bibby to cleveland for anderson/gooden

3. pick Yi Jianlian(I think he might slide to us, due to teams needs before us)

4 trade artest for either ricky davis/pick, boris diaw/pick, or maggette/pick

5. pickup bobby brown (if of course he goes undrafted)

Price/Brown
K$/Salmons/Douby
Anderson/Garcia (Diaw, Maggette Davis)
Gooden/SAR/Yi/K9
brad/williams until jwill is ready to take over

someones draft pick I hope.....we can get a center.

Change Yi to Mike Conley Jr and that roster looks A LOT better.

Why the heck not trade Artest for a lottery pick this year? Get a big and a PG. I'd do it.

And I also really like the idea of bringing on Reggie Theus as an assistant with the possibility of him taking over if the head coach is a bust. Iavaroni with Theus on the bench? Word on Theus is that one of his main strengths is his chrisma and leadership skills. Plus he looks smart in those pictures at reggietheus.com

You won't get a lottery pick for Ron Artest. He killed his value with his off court troubles...

How bout our lotto pick + Artest for a higher lotto pick? And then a trade involving SAR and/or Bibby and/or Miller for another lotto pick? I don't know, for some reason I like lotto picks this year, and I believe in Petrie's drafting abilities. Sure he likes thos tweeners but that's generally what you go for with the picks he's had to work with. With higher picks, I don't think he's that dumb to repeat that pattern. That could get us a sweet big and a Conly/Law.

Here's a random draft idea -- I was listening to Chad Ford's podcast, and he was interviewing Daivd Thorpe about possible sleepers in the 2007 draft. One of the guys he mentioned was Avis Wyatt, who is a 6'10" super-athletic small forward who can rebound, block shots and hit the three. He's under the radar because he plays for D-II Virginia State, but I guess he has a lot of potential to rise up. Oh, and in the two games he played against D-1 competition he averaged 30 and 7. Here's his nbadraft.net profile: http://www.nbadraft.net/admincp/profiles/aviswyatt.html

Oh, and here is a sick Youtube video of Virginia State playing VCU (who beat Duke in the tournament). Wyatt is the one jumping out of the gym: http://youtube.com/watch?v=5MgVHpQfe_c

So this is the type of player (along with some of the Euros Geoff is scouting) who could be available late in the first round. I'm thinking a draft-day trade of Artest/Kenny Thomas for Steve Francis (consolidate contracts, expires after 2008/2009 season), one of Lee/Frye/Balkman and the 23rd pick might be interesting.

He has got some sick hops

Oh and I would be down with the Knicks trade. Getting Francis would also spell the end of Mike Bibby as a Sacramento King.

I didn't comment on his ability as a player. I just commented on his vertical leap which is very impressive.
And it was, but the videos they make (like this one) are lame. One block and a couple dunks and that's apparently all he did in the game? They made a video for that? Good grief, the intro and ending text took up over half the video, and then they do that stupid instant replay over and over. Just so.....annoying.

Is there anything else showing what this guy can do? I hope more than this one video.

Here's the rundown on this guy. David Thorpe, who I think is a pretty good talent scout/coach, called him one of his top two sleepers. Draftexpress covered his performance at Portsmouth before he got injured here: http://draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=1259.

Here's Chad Ford's scouting report:

Positives: Super athletic small forward with a decent jump shot. Explosive. Despite his size, plays almost exclusively facing the basket.

Negatives: Very, very thin. Lacks strength to play in the post. Raw.

Summary: Got a little buzz at the Portsmouth Invitational from NBA scouts, but he's a pretty big project and a reach for the second round. If he does get drafted, it will be because of his length and athleticism.

In any event, just an intriguing dark horse, and an example of the type of guy who might be available if the Kings get another pick.

My idea...

1. Hire Ivaroni, or Elie w/ Theus as head asst.
2. Trade Bibby to Memphis for Pau Gasol
3. Sign Varaejo or Milicic, Magloire (as consolation prize)
4. With # 10 pick Acie Law/Mike Conley

New Kings:

Law or Conley/Douby
Martin/Garcia
Artest/Salmons
Gasol/Milicic or Varejao
Miller/Millic or Varejo

Price, Williams, Thomas as needed.

i like the idea of kt/artest for stevie franchise i think steve has some life left in him and could benifit us if bibby is traded/gone what ever the situation!

Here are some more Avis Wyatt highlights courtesy of Hoopstar. Keep in mind Wyatt players for a D-II school but he's going against Old Dominion and VCU, two teams who were in the NCAA tournament.

We really need to get this guy. I know, I know, everyone looks good in hightlight reels, but you don't really find this combination of size (6'10"/6'11"), athleticism, handle and shooting ability every day:

I've only looked at 2 mock drafts and neither one has this guy getting drafted. I'm not saying that means he won't just throwing it out there at a reference point.

He looks good maybe we will look out and get him as a camp invitee ala J. Williams.

Pretty impresive in my opinion, i would trade somebody to get a late 1st round pick/early 2nd round pick and get him along with our 10th pick.
