Guy kept trying to post up the Kings which worked for a while but was also costing them because the Wolves couldn’t miss from three prior to that point

Kings got tight, and the Wolves really took Monk out by blitzing pick and roll almost every time. Same story, Kings fought back though but had to basically get bullied first lol.

The universe works in strange ways, but the Kings might have needed Jae Crowder after all. Different personality there. Could be a Shump like asset.

Kings were absolutely dead in the water until Domas hit that wide open three and then suddenly turned into the Splash Brothers on offense and the Heatles on defense.

The Kings made half of their 12 three pointers for the game in the last 5:30. Oddly enough, I don't seem to mind them shooting mostly threes when they go 6 for 7 in 5 minutes.

The issue moving on his still Monks role once DeRozan comes back. DeRozan is taking most of those pick and rolls and game in game out, he should because the stats suggest DDR is elite. I think Brown might want to look at giving Monk a chance on the floor without Fox or DDR so he can run 2 man game with Domas

If this game proved anything, this team needs a steady diet of the Monk-Domas PnR. They continue to have incredible chemistry and it only Domas have someone get him easy shots at the rim.

Not a bad thought, also with IJ you could have a pick and roll or lob partner too. Could even be more fun when Carter comes back and you can sub DDR and Fox for Monk/Carter. Constant pressure on the opponent with those dudes

Not a bad take at all. Shump was the real deal.

Interesting thing with Shump is he was actually sort of bad on the floor, statistically anyway. But he was without a doubt the heart and soul of that team and the emotional leader of that squad. Couldn't believe how dead we looked for like 2+ weeks after we traded him, but I think he meant that much to the locker room and to the guys.

Still not watching games yet, what happened with IJ in the second half after ripping off 8 points in the first? Did matchup dictate a change or he just didn’t take any shots?

He got subbed in early in the 3rd and played about 7 mins. Our ball movement was really bad, they shutdown our drives, and forced some bad 3s while he was in. He did a nice job on defense but he was playing some mins at the 5 after Sabonis got his 5th and that’s just doesn’t suit him

Huh. I'm at worst neutral on them. I don't know exactly what the faint ice-effect is supposed to be but I'm OK with it, and maybe like it a bit. Nowhere near consideration for worst ever from me.

I love the basketball court they use for it though. Quite nice, but those green jerseys of theirs are the true abomination

The first half of that season was fun as hell. Just fast as **** boi, all the time, all game.

In a serious note the Minnesota sucks bad this season, they were extremely lucky to beat us twice thanks to Ant heroics, but they ran out of luck and refs that came to the rescue weren't enough to save their butts.

Even shorthanded, seeing players like Crowder and IJ out there make the Kings seem like a more complete team. Randle played solid but he usually goes off against the Kings. He had an average game because the Kings had the right bodies on him.

Dont know why we went with Dougie McBelinelli to start the year instead of signing Crowder. I wouldn’t be surprised if McDermott is on the way out.

Big game for Monk, Domas, and Fox

It’s imperative that Keegan and Huerter learn how to shoot again. So much with how this team is built is on the assumption that those two can shoot. Both well under 30 percent now and we can’t say it’s early anymore. It’s going to be hard to get on the proper track with how they are shooting.
